How does Z compare to Jokic athletically? I've watched very little of the Joker and I'm not good at judging unless I see them on the court together.

I'm convinced that Z can take his range out to the 3 line in time.

Jokic is a far more fluid athlete. The dude performed in the skills challenge at All-Star weekend.

A fluid athlete? He moves more fluidly, but he is not a better athlete than Zizic.

If that's the criteria, then Jokic is a more fluid athlete than Ayton as well.

As far as raw athletic abilities go, Zizic is a better athlete. He jumps higher, sprints faster and moves his feet better laterally. Zizic is definitely stiffer moving on the court , but he looks like a ballerina once he decides to attack.

I agreed...he is more fluid and graceful.

@Turnipwagon simply asked how he fared athletic wise. And as far as raw athletic abilities go, Zizic clearly beats him. If we are going by the version of Zizic when he played in Europe then it's really not that close.

I don't know how to predict Zizic's ability to improve his feel for the game...he has improved a ton as a passer and his touch on his passes looks miles better.

Jokic has great finesse, touch and is a very gifted basketball player, but I wouldn't say that he is a better athlete.

One of his comparisons was Jokic before he came over. Similar raw stats in the Adriatic league. Of course as far as playmaking, we thought he would be much worse than Jokic.

Last night tho opened my eyes a bit. Zizic has a floor awareness that is pretty surprising. He doesn't have to be a point center like Jokic, but if he can pass out of the double like he did last night, he will be an offensive force.

I'd agree that Jokics skills are on a different level. He has lightning fast reflexes and decision making. He isn't the athlete Zizic is, but he is spacial awareness and movements are more creative.

I think it's a lot to compare him to Jokic. Not really fair as some.of that is just innate talent of vision and bball IQ. Still as long as Zizic continues to grow on D, we will be calling him old reliable very soon.
