Theoretically Ante Zizic

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Let's not get ahead of ourselves here lol
Marc Gasol is DPOY.

He needs to dunk the ball. He has a tendency to go up soft. We should get him a copy of one of those vertical jump programs that they always advertise on YouTube highlight videos.

Problem with trading away TT is he needs assets attached for a team to take him on. And I don’t see CLE doing that right now...in fact, I don’t know what we have of value that we could even realistically give up. We aren’t attaching Cedi, Sexton, ir Zizic. We aren’t attaching any future picks.

I agree with you on Zizic getting the bulk of the minutes over TT. I just think people need to be realistic about our options with that anchor of a deal. He’s making $18M this year and $18.5 next year, all fully guaranteed.

I think we could trade TT and gain an asset if we really wanted to. Just have to take back an even worse contract. Guys like Noah, parsons, batum.

I just don’t think he has the athleticism to. I doubt it’s him being soft. Just not a quick jumper.

This part is true. Though for everyone comparing him to Marc Gasol, there's a wide spectrum of good bigs. His D doesn't have to be as strong as Gasol's - and he may be a better scorer and better rebounder as he grows.

Oh yeah I didn't mean to call him a soft player, just that he finishes soft. Probably a combination of 80% athleticism and 20% fatigue. Jumping takes a lot of energy.

Between Zizic and Osman, we may be seeing Koby's strength in international scouting. He's the one that pushed to draft Cedi. While he didn't draft Zizic, he likely made sure he was included in the deal last summer. I also feel pretty good about Arturas Gudaitis and he found a way to get him included in all the trades earlier this season.

They may not all pan out, but if he has skill identifying good players overseas, it can translate everywhere else. I find it hard to judge him based on last offseason or a trade that he didn't have many alternatives to in February. Very interested to see what he does going forward.

Between Zizic and Nance, I'm not sure if I want TT to see the floor at all this year unless there's an injury. Zizic deserves big minutes to develop further.

We’ve been saying it awhile, but if Tye Lue starts Tristan Thompson over Ante Zizic to start the season—not only does he need fired—he needs tarred and feathered on his way out of town.

We all know he will start TT. It’s not even a question. Jr will also start. injuries are the only thing that will force lue to play the best lineup.

Hmm, maybe instead of Big Z we should call him Big D???
If we are talking “soft” then it fits better. That’s probably why his back gave out early. In the day when bigs were “big”, you couldn’t be a marshmallow like BD was. Saw him too many times miss a lay up or lay in when he could have just thrown it down.
