2019 Cavs

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Not sure why he struggled with the Rockets, but that Lakers team was a graveyard for veterans with Brewer, Calderon, Deng, and Mozgov all self-destructing.

The Rocket evolved into such a 3 point shooting team that I think he just didn't have a role. Like I said above OKC basically brought him in to play in Roberson's role who was a poor 3 point shooter since Roberson was out for the season.

Is it conceivable the Cavs could finish with a better record than the Lakers this year?!

Conceivable? Sure. We have no idea how this Lakers team is going to function. They have a real lack of shooters, and that's a big red flag on a LeBron James team. I also highly doubt LeBron will play in the post for any more than a month or so before he starts trying to get Walton fired and playing LeBron Ball (it's just who LeBron is), and I'm just not sure how well LeBron Ball will work with that weird Lakers roster. This could also end up being the year LeBron breaks down, or maybe he suffers his first major injury. Even the most durable athletes are indestructible until they're not any more.

Is it likely? Nope. That Lakers team has a lot of veterans, and that will undoubtedly help them win a lot of games they'd probably lose with a team like ours that has multiple rookie contract guys expected to play big minutes.

But we do still play in the East, so if we keep Love and Lue proves to actually be capable of running a real offense (he's never really had the chance thus far), I'd say it's at least possible.

I said it awhile back that I thought the Cavs had a very good chance of having a better record than the Lakers and I still do. The East isn't as difficult as the West and with Chicago being Chicago and the Knicks, well need I say more....

I think this team has a chance to make the playoffs but it's going to be a bit of a roller coaster the first few months. I expect a lot of growing pains but it will be fun to watch. What I really want to see is how these young kids learn from their mistakes and how quickly they rebound, to use a basketball metaphor.

This is where some might underestimate Sexton a and Cedi in their leadership abilities. I think these two will develop a leadership chemistry that will bring thus team closer. And don't be surprised to see Billy "will he go round in circles" Preston on the roster after camp.

One thing I am looking forward to is the passing and ball movement. Sexton, Cedi, and even Zizic have pretty good IQ and they all look to pass and find the open man. We see Cedi cutting to the basket and making no look passes. Sexton can create with his quickness and find the big man down low or kick it outside. Zizic not just has a soft touch around the rim but is able to find open men when they cut to the basket.

And not forget about Nance too.

Nance makes some dumb mistakes from time to time, but he's also a pretty good passer for a big man. Made a lot of passes Thompson never would have seen last year.
When Nance played with confidence he looked for open areas to cut and be aggressive. Maybe his injury late in the year costed him. Now he needs to develop a consistent outside shot.

This move makes me so happy. He is choosing to come back here and rebuild something. He is such an important piece to have for our culture.

I'm all on board with the tank but if the Cavs choose to try and win (while keeping a positive feeling around the team), I wont hate it. The front office must feel we have enough lotto level talent with Sexson, Cedi & Z. Would love to move JR or Hill for another decent young guy or a pick.

WERE GETTING THE BAND BACK TOGETHER

WHAT?!?!?!?!? Fan-fucking-tastic!!!

Although...

If I have to endure another season of watching TT get minutes over Frye, I might seriously lose my shit.

I pray to the gods that TT gets traded, cut, bought out, or if need be, erased from existence before the season begins!

You can't erase a Super Star from existence.

Why Dan isn’t getting rid of Lue already and getting a real coach?

I want our young players growing and learning during the season not losing an average of 25 IQ points per month playing under this fool
Korver....Frye......

Don't worry, the real coaches are on the roster

Why did this post get disagrees?

It's not going to happen this season though...better get used to it, and hope we fix it next off-season.
