2018 Trade Deadline

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Just hit two dingers in the Futures game, and has really come into his own in AA this year. He's only 21, and I would think that giving up a prospect like this means that they are attempting to get the Orioles to take back some salary to keep them under the luxury tax.

What is he, a 4th/5th ish farm system prospect?

Only 26 HR's in 1000 minor league AB's for a corner OF and his K rate has hovered at average or below average for 800+ of those AB's. This season it has floated in to above average in limited AB's.

He seems like a good prospect but someone to take money back with too? I would suspect there has to be someone else in the deal.

EDIT: Yikes......just saw LAD previously spent $31 million for the right to sign him....yeesh.

He's blowing up this year.

More BB than K, tremendous power. Going to wind up a Top 30 prospect.

3rd best in the system and 51st overall by Baseball America

He’s damn good

The horse has left the barn.

Hand would be a great get but the price would be depressing

Like we really had a chance at Machado anyways.

Probably was only willing to offer so much before it got crazy, which is why you never read reports about Indians getting serious about offering the best package.

At least they can say we tried.

On to very good players like Hand who are under control, you better expect losing a Bobby Bradley and Chang for him .

I’d gladly trade Bradley for a reliever like that who is under team control.

He's an Indians kind of target, 3 years under control at a premium position and with his current numbers, he's definitely underpaid.

But it'll be more than Bradley, that's why I threw in Chang too and probably another low end pitching prospect or PTBNL.

With this, do you mean that an amicable offer was presented, but not agreed upon, or do you mean the Indians just missed the boat on a attainable player?
