WTF who signed off extending him. Too make matters worst at 30 million a year. His worth is 15 mil tops and that pushing it. He would have been MORE valuable as an expiring contract. Our FO is incompetent. I love Kev be need to trade his ass ASAP!

Dan's ego led to him extending Love. He wanted to show the world that he can compete without LeBron. Well, that left him with an injury-prone "all-star" stuck on a bad contract. Deep down most everyone knew it was a bad move at the time, but the loyalty from Love after LeBron left again softened the blow. Now though, reality has set in. They should move him the first chance they get.

Biggest speculative pile of horseshit I’ve ever read.

I really dont think it was all about loyalty. Who else was gonna give him that same deal after he was exposed and several nagging injuries. I think he knew he had to take the money

Yeah I don't get the concern with extending him. For one, it's Gilbert's money but the longer term also makes him a more attractive trade piece. The cost is very reasonable given his production also.

And who do you all want to play PF instead of Love?

As far as his injury; details are sketchy on when it happened but he had problems in the preseason with something. If it is related, Lue playing him almost 40 mins a night in the early going probably didn't help.

For all of the people that didn't want him signed long term because it might ruin the Cavs chances of getting their 2019 1st rounder back; they should be happy he is injured.

Extending Love makes a lot of sense since you can now trade him under more favorable terms.

Then, Altman should get the deal done before the deadline. That's how I personally will judge success.

Dude has got to go: unreliable.

Love will miss a month, we’ll go like 7-8 without him. He’ll come back and we’ll lose ten straight. That not being able to move him until the end of January could really suck.

During his whole time here, what game that he missed of the many missed, did you feel like we were a Kevin Love away from winning?

I’m not being a smartass. It’s entirely possible there was a stretch we really missed him that I’m forgetting about, but my only recollections are him going out with injury, and our play seemingly improving.

Things did not go well for us after he hurt his hand against Detroit, but then again things rarely went well for us last year.

Yeah now only if TT and frye could come up with a sore toe. Thats 20 toes between them that significantly increases the chance for injury. Then maybe we can throw this young skilled center out there and find out if he can be a player or not.

I cant believe we signed love to a long term contract. If I was starting a team right now and my first pick was between love and zinc and love, I take zizic. Love just isn't the guy thats gonna get you anywhere that matters. I want guys that give 100% and show toughness. Zizic is already much better at help defense and understanding when to come off his man to help on penetration.

When you show me you are capable of playing defense and banging and then you choose to not do it, I dont want you on the team.

Also you dont see sexton focusing on every bump or scrape he gets for the next 10 minutes of the game. Im done with love. Cant stand to see him out there.

Yikes! Tell us how you really feel.

"Starting a team picks" are based on longer-term potential and are not the same as who's actually the better player.

Love's salary is more or less in line with veteran #2/#3 options on top-level teams, and it's certainly a better contract than guys like Conley, Millsap, O.Porter, and Jrue.

Extension or not, I do believe we won't have a ton of trouble moving him in the future. Contenders will still give him a look, and as stated above don't overlook the teams who strike out on big name free agents in the upcoming off seasons.
