Cleveland Browns 2018 Season Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Brandon Marshall got cut, so no trade needed there... that said, not sure I see the benefit of bringing him in. Guy has little to nothing left in the tank, a checkered past, and doesn’t scream “mentor” to me.

I don't know...everything I've read is that he's been nothing but a great locker room guy in Seattle. Only reason they parted ways is because Lockett emerged as a legit WR2 and they've also got David Moore emerging. He wasn't going to get snaps in Seattle, so they cut him so that he could go somewhere that might give them to him. It seemed like an amicable parting.

I agree he doesn't have much left in the tank, but I think his checkered past is irrelevant. He's a good guy now, and has been for years.

Yeah I get that sense too, and maybe it’s unfair to hold the past stuff against him. I guess my bigger concern is the fact that he’s on his last legs.

Or if you’re bringing in a guy as a veteran presence or some kind of mentor, he just doesn’t seem like that guy to me, even if he’s a changed man.

If there is literally nobody else out there and he’s a stopgap until Higgins is healthy, I guess you could do worse, but it just seems like a weird match to me.

Yeah I agree that bringing in Marshall doesn't really move the needle, but if he were open to it and the Browns wanted to sign him for the rest of the year I'd be fine with it.

Not only is that not a definite outcome, but looking solely at Dorsey’s track record it’s not smart to marginalize mid round picks like you have

He got Tyreek Hill in the 5th and Hunt in the 3rd

It’s not an unreasonable stance to want to cash in some assets now to help mayfield, but the statement quoted is simply not a definitive outcome. Hill and Hunt are both worlds better than Taint or Thomas.

On top of that, using those extra mid-round picks to move up in the draft if needed.

Plus, aren't Tate is a FA next year. If we wanted to get him, we can just sign him next year and not waste a draft pick.

I am fine with doing nothing.

Love you Moz.

Dorsey just got Genard Avery in the 5th this past year and he looks like at worst he’ll be a nice situational pass rusher with the possibility of a lot more.

Goldent Tate does nothing for me, but I did want Thomas. Big possession receiver is what we need.

Fair on Tate since he is a FA, but DT can’t catch the football and we don’t need that.

Young hoe might be the one.

LMAO we need to sign Younghoe Koo....

Are you fucking kidding me with that name?
he was the Chargers kicker for the first 4 games last year then released, which makes him qualified for the Browns position imo.
