Cleveland Browns 2018 Season Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Rather have a supposed lottery pick than a for sure fool who left the Pats one game before the playoffs. Guy is an idiot and people need to let go.

5ths I disagree on being lottery tickets, look at what Dorsey has done with his mid round selections.

OK, I get it, you really don't like Josh Gordon.

I'm not confident there's a high probability of a fifth-round pick from New England (so a late-fifth rounder) being a solid starter in the league. They could be out of the league in a year or get cut before the season starts.

Sure, Dorsey has hit sometimes in the late rounds. But, he also drafted Chad Thomas with the third pick in round three.

It's possible a fifth-rounder ends up hitting, but it's more likely it doesn't. I'd be more interested in consolidating it with other late picks and moving up.

I just don't think people should get bagged on for disagreeing with that trade. You can live without the additional fifth rounder, but you can't live with Gordon turning in a pro bowl season with Tom Brady.

It didn't work out that way, but it certainly could have. I would have rather gone without the fifth rounder and let Gordon rot on our roster before seeing him catch TDs on another team.

If you didn't want to see a healthy Gordon paired with Baker then you're crazy. That trade was out of nowhere and therefore caused mixed reactions, rightfully so.

Didn't like it from the start, probably because I hate the Patriots. I also wanted to believe the shithead could get it together. As the days moved on after the trade I felt kinda relieved of him and past troubles though.

Dorsey is incredible. Everything he's doing is gold. Only if Haslam let him find his own coaches coming into this season...

There's a lot of things to be happy about with this team's future, so let's allow Josh Gordon to be discussed today and put in the fire tomorrow and let all of our past Browns shit go up in flames.

This new era is going to be legendary.

Hit rates for even solid production from 5th round picks is at like 5-10%. That's exactly what a lottery ticket is in the NFL.

I'd still take the 5th rd pick. Dorsey has three 5th rd picks to play with. If nothing else he can use them to move up in the first 4 rds.

If he turns one of three of them into a positive contributor on either side that’s a W. I like his philosophy of taking the risks in the later rounds.

Game Sunday is officially sold out...should be a wild atmosphere downtown being 2 days till Christmas, no work Monday, and Hue Jackson returns to Cleveland

One service out of Vegas has the Browns at a nine point favorite now. I'm ready for the Browns to give Hue the full Jerry Sandusky treatment.

Amazing how all it takes to get fans back onboard is a few wins and some hope. If Baker is the real deal this town is gonna be fun as fuck again for years to come during football season.

I’m already chomping at the bit for the 2019 schedule to be released in a couple months. I’ll be planning my fall and winter weekends around Browns season both in Cleveland and in a few cities the Browns travel to where I have friends living (specifically Cincinnati, Boston, NYC, and San Francisco).

I’m just waiting for the other shoe to drop. Something bad has to happen, otherwise we’re going to have a damn fun next decade because of the Cleveland Browns of all things.

Gordon wasn’t going to play here. He got “injured” right before he was traded, and that was the last straw. Yes, I would have liked a 700+ yard former pro bowler here to go opposite Landry. By faulty logic, he would have had even more yards and TDs here. But it wouldn’t work that way. He would have stayed “injured” until traded. Someone told him that was his ticket out and Dorsey wasn’t having any of that bullshit. I am convinced.

Great move by Dorsey. One of many.
