Hue Jackson and Todd Haley Fired

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Do you guys think if Dorsey hired Dave Toub, that they would keep kitchens or anyone on the staff?
The new HC should keep whomever he wants. If he likes a guy already in place, so be it. When Romeo took the job, he kept Robiskie on as an assistant, so it happens. But I don't think any part of any of Hue's staff is a must keep.

I'll say this, and it's why I would still be in favor of Toub and even John Harbaugh:

Special Teams coaches are not beholden to any system. So theoretically, yes, they could keep Kitchens. He could keep anyone.

Obviously the guy has to be a good/great leader, but it's one advantage of hiring a STC as a head coach.

Yes. please stop with the arranged marriages. As important as having sharp guys in the room is having guys that can work well together in the room. Honestly it’s probably more important.

Just let the new coach build his staff. If Kitchens continues to perform well then he will be a strong candidate for said staff. But leave it up to the coach. These arranged marriages: between the coach and GM, between the coach and his staff, etc are just terrible ideas. Let a guy implement his staff, let a GM pick his coach.

Yeah, I think the new coach should have full say over his staff, but I wouldn't be opposed to keeping some of these guys if they continue to do well, obviously pending the new coach's approval.

I sort of agree. I think the GM should have some input on the staff along with the coach. If you have the right GM, he should be in the interview room for final interviews, especially on the coordinators.

But nothing should be forced.

Luckily he won’t be able to give them any insight to the Browns offense, seeing as he was hands off and all...
That and he never bothered to actually learn the playbook.

We finally get to see what a Hue Jackson offense looks like!

I mean, he might do fine. He knows Dalton. Literally all he will be doing is calling plays and at some point in his career (pretty recently) he was...good at it or at least serviceable.
