Cleveland Browns 2019 Season

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I know there are some bigger things to take away from that (which was one of the better episodes, imo) but it’s crazy to be reminded Kareem Hunt is here after seeing him do those reps during that brief clip.

I know the character issue will be looking for the foreseeable future but that’s a top 5 talent at the position waiting in the weeds.

Kareem Hunt...that’s a top 5 talent at the position waiting in the weeds.

No it's not.

If you're going to talk about talent at the RB position, Hunt might be somewhere towards the middle of the league's starters if you're generous.

His best trait is probably his balance--ability to stay on his feet. He's a solid all-around RB and a fantastic RB to have as your backup, but let's please not start with the hyperbole again.

He's great at breaking tackles too. I'd say he's borderline top ten at the position. Probably a bit overrated due to playing in a system where basically any back can produce.

But that may also be the case in Cleveland now with a coach who knows how to call smart plays and arguably the best group of receivers in the entire league.

Instead let’s not start with another insufferable, pages-long, eventually somewhat hostile debate about positional ranking.

There was a back-and-forth about Nick Chubb amongst RBs and Odell amongst WRs...and the outcome of that conversation was, surprise, ranking players is subjective. And frankly, semantics.

I wouldn’t go that far with the conversation but I’ll just rephrase: Kareem Hunt is really fucking good in his own right and I’m glad to have him in the offense.

This. Really fucking good is the best way to describe him.

I’d be concerned that Hunt’s huge numbers came from being in an explosive offense surrounded with playmakers, an elite QB, and a top notch creative playcaller if you know, he wasn’t joining us, a team with an explosive offense full of playmakers, an elite QB, and a top notch creative playcaller.

So who cares where he ranks on pure RB talent alone, the numbers he put up on KC were elite numbers. He can run between the tackles, break tackles, and is a elite receiving back as well. His opportunities will be down with Chubb also here, but there is nothing he did in the KC offense that he shouldn’t be able to do in his reps here games 9-16 and into the playoffs.

So can we then apply the analytic driven rankings:

1) Nich Chubb: Fucking Really good
2) Kareem Hunt: Also Fucking Really Good
3) Duke Johnson: Pretty Fucking Decent and Criminally Underused as Fuck

Well OBJ said 'all orange' when they saw the new uniforms.

Come to Western (not Pittsburgh) Pa.

We have crippling economic depression, blight like you cant fathom, taxes on taxes on taxes, an opioid epidemic of plague-like proportions and an incredibly corrupt government.

But for the epicurean we have more wing joints, pizza places and sandwich shops than you can shake a stick at.

Not to mention a minor league hockey team.

Hm do you stay for the schools?

Smith was elite in 2017?

Smith was elite in 2017?
Their offense overall was.

Obviously went to a whole another level last year with Mahomes.

My post was made in defense of Hunt, not meant to marginalize his talent. I was just presenting an argument to those who think Hunt of just average or slightly above average outside of the KC talent level and system. If those people were right, it might be a concern if Hunt had been picked up the Dolphins, Jags, or Bills. But landing here, whether you think it’s the talent or the system, it shouldn’t matter. Hunt should be able to impact in his reps in the exact same manner as he did in KC.
