The achievement of turning this franchise’s culture around had earned him one in my mind.

But to think of him accomplishing a Super Bowl win in his first couple of years, unfathomable to me at this time last year.

Probably the best organizational turnaround in sports history, for my money.

All they need to do now is…you know… win.

Then he and Berry can both have a statue.

Statue is a big deal for a coach, i dont know how many have them, but Paul Brown is probably the only Browns coach that has one in front. If they dont win the championship, then he didnt earn the statue in my mind. That to me is bigger than HOF even.
 
While there’s obviously a high likelihood they lose the Chiefs game, there are no games anymore that I will be shocked if the Browns win. In my mind, they are now a Super Bowl contender. I don’t know how the rest of the league or pundits look at them (and couldn’t give less of a shit), and for all I know they’ll get swamped week one…but all the pieces are now in place for long term success.

Kicker is the problem.

I envision them losing 5-7 games by fewer than three points.

While building statutes is obviously premature, I sure like the path the Browns are on under the leadership of Berry, Depodesta, & Stefanski. I just pray the Haslam’s can remain in the background and not muck this up because we are absolutely on the right path for once.

How very Doug Downerish of you. Kickers are a dime a dozen and it isn’t a problem until it becomes a problem. The season hasn’t started yet, so the slate is clean and it’s not a problem.

If McMaughlin is their guy, I trust the Browns will keep a kicker on the practice squad that they can easily go to if McLaughlin falters.

Do you not trust the offense or the defense if you think ~1/3 of their games are being lost by a FG?
