what's the deal with michael carter-williams? would be to have a tall guard in the line-up

I think he absolutely sucks on the court, as a player.
We don’t need anymore one dimensional players! I saw enough of TT in his first go round missing point blanks layups, grabbing offensive rebounds and bending over like a fullback going off tackle and making ticky tack hand and body fouls giving up tons of AND ONES to the opposition. He’s a hard pass!

Lets upgrade the end of the bench... if we can get someone better then I'd say let's just do it!

Never liked TT, thought he was incredibly overrated here, undersized center that had butter sticks for fingers, couldn’t score outside of 3 feet from the basket, paint defence was trash. Guess he was good for “switchability” against GS but that’s about it. Imagine how more dangerous we could have been 2014-17 if we had an actual talented center.

Also always thought his offensive rebounding was partly due to nobody even bothering to guard him around the basket leaving him free to get boards. Furthermore what’s the point of being good at rebounding if you get your shit stuffed half the time you go back up with it?

To answer the bolded, the Cavs offense in the postseasons of 16 and 17 was some of the most efficient offense in the history of the NBA when it came to points per possession. They also played a very slow pace.

TT gave that legendary offense more possessions.

TT also played some really good D in his good years. I think, like lots of our players, he got judged harshly by me and others due to his draft position and a LOT of people thinking we should have taken someone else. I'm a west coast guy, went to Arizona and USC, and I wanted Kawhi or Klay at 4 because I'd watched them a bunch, but I was just happy we didn't take Derrick Williams. College Derrick Williams was a stud, but he just had tweener written all over him.

We had Mozgov for two seasons. He didn’t match up against GSW but he helped us a lot against other teams regular season and playoff.

Plus TT owned Horford.

Mozgov was great in that first run, but pretty useless in 2016. He was much like Shumpert in that regard.

Luckily, Delly stepped up significantly that season and RJ/Channing came on board to fill out the second unit.

So what’s the difference in what he did and what Drummond did? Drummond did the same thing and some people on this board called his rebounds “empty stats”. And gave the Cavs offense much punch. If Drummond had been on those LBJ teams we would have won at least three titles

The only punch Drummond gave to the Cavs' offense was a punch in the gut

ZING

Mmmmmmmmm TT never came close to winning a rebounding title and as out of control Drummond was at times TT never came close to Drummond’s offensive ability. Talk about Drummond all you want but I would take him any day of week….10 out of 10 times over TT!
