NFL Draft Day 3 (Rounds 4-7)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
If our team was bad, I'd hate using a fourth on a kicker. It's not a priority. But as a (presumably) good team with a lot of talent, with kicker being a position that has lost us multiple games the past two years when we were actually good, it makes a lot of sense.
Exactly. A rebuilding team should never draft a kicker in the 4th. A team that has aspirations to compete for a Super Bowl should absolutely consider taking a kicker in the 4th if that’s a position of need.

What picks do the Browns still have today?

Wouldn't hate Bo Melton if he makes it to our next pick.

No one asked but if things go the way we’d like next year we likely pick at:

55 - own second
100 - comp 3rd for Kwesi to MIN
126 - Vikings 4th
129 - own 4th
166 - own 5th
170 - Rams 5th
201 - own 6th
244 - own 7th

* based on a hypothetical 10-11 win season and drafting 23rd. Obviously if we advanced far in the playoffs, all of our own picks would be even lower.

EDIT: two mistakes in this.
Extra 4th is from the Vikings not the Texans
Extra 5th is from the Rams, not Vikings

Felton could be a PS candidate. Not sure if he’d be signed by another team and the new practice squad rules allow some level of protecting a few guys per week from getting poached

I like the Bell pick a lot. I favor college production higher than projection. I also like the York pick. I wouldn't mind picking a college kicker on day 3 in any draft when you don't have an entrenched guy at the position. If he doesn't work out, try again next year.

I like the Bell pick a lot. I favor PURDUE production higher than projection.
