NFL Draft Day 3 (Rounds 4-7)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
For whatever it's worth, CBSsports.com guy loved both our 7th round picks.

Isaiah Thomas DL, OKLA

Height: 6-5, Weight: 266

NFL-sized EDGE with heavy hands and an energetic style around the corner. Awesome swim move. Decent explosiveness. Ready to contribute from Day 1. More EDGE help for Cleveland. (Chris Trapasso)

Dawson Deaton OL, TXTECH

Height: 6-6, Weight: 306

Taller center with clean film in college. Rarely see him on the ground. Some ugly wins but can really recover. Knee bend is great and moves to the second level in a controlled manner. Will outplay his draft position. Awesome selection. (Chris Trapasso)

I cannot find the article, but I remember seeing something about OLmen and having crazy agility has a high success rate.

Not a bad stab in the dark for a late pick.

Just missed the cutoff: Dawson ran a 4.49

Browns with two of the ten best “value” picks in the draft with the two Oklahoma DL prospects.

No one asked but if things go the way we’d like next year we likely pick at:

55 - own second
100 - comp 3rd for Kwesi to MIN
126 - Vikings 4th
129 - own 4th
166 - own 5th
170 - Rams 5th
201 - own 6th
244 - own 7th

* based on a hypothetical 10-11 win season and drafting 23rd. Obviously if we advanced far in the playoffs, all of our own picks would be even lower.

EDIT: two mistakes in this.
Extra 4th is from the Vikings not the Texans
Extra 5th is from the Rams, not Vikings
Wait, the Browns get a compensatory 3rd two years in a row for Kwesi?

Wouldn't be surprised if they get an additional third the next couple of drafts for Glenn Cook. Seems like he's a rising star in the profession, having interviewed for GM jobs during this past hiring cycle.

I like the woods selection , but watching the highlights, I want that Quarterback (Jefferson?) he was throwing darts... getting hit, side arm around a defender. and a couple of touch fades to boot.

Jefferson was there this year too, at Arkansas? I noticed him when he was throwing to Burks when I looked at him early in the off season. That dude can ball.
