Cavs Eye Jamison (SI trade article)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Either one would make us a scary team for this year, and thats what our goal is right now, TO ACTUAL WIN A CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!!

I don't know about you, but after having Amare Stoudemire induced fantasies all weekend, i'm not happy with just one championship, we should win the next 10

JJ stays, unless we get amare.
Jamison's contract is awful, unless we get him for free, its not worth it.
championship now championshipnowchampionshipnow:gtfo:
there is no move that gautantees a championship, and we already have better odd then all but 1 or 2 teams to get it done.
JJ + good finances >>> Jamison or anyother talented player with a bad contract.
why the hell all these GMs trading off players that they signed for 5 years.
if we dont bail them out, we can be dominate in this league for a long long time.

So does it appear we're going to stand pat? I'm out of the loop, I almost burn my house down(long story).

I just a read a few articles, it seems the guys we want we can't get. But Ferry is trying, just bad luck that no one likes what we're offering.

Ohhhh, it sucks, hearing about all the possible great deals for it to then go no where.

This really pisses me off. Not Ferry, it's not his fault. This is an economic crisis, and we can't seem to get ANY TOP talent, for Wally's contract.

I mean crap, it doesn't make you feel that encouraged, does it? Makes me worried next year too, if we can't get another good quality big man. I think going into next season, Ben Wallace is done. So that leaves a HUGE hole at the 4. Especially with JJ possibly not being ready and Av as more ideal as a backup(if we even get him back).

Screw the nba, stupid bastards!

nah, I dont see us standing pat, Ferry is going to call up some team at 230 tomorrow and say "Hey, your going to have a crap load of luxury tax this year, why not get rid of **insert player name here**, for Wally and save yourself some money" and they are going to be pressed for time and hopefully do something crazy! Too many team owners are feeling the economic pinch and really dont want to pay luxury tax.

SAS (so take it for what it's worth) just said the Cavs are definitely looking to make a move.

The Cavs? Looking to make a move????

Shocking:eek:

That is some top-notch reporting, just give the man the Pulitzer right now!

Yeah, Jamison's contract is atrocious. This would help us this year, but I think we still could win the championship without Jamison, and don't think he'd put us above the Lakers like Amare would. We'll be kicking ourselves in the next 2-3 years with Jamison's contract.

And do you think if we got Antwan (hopefully just for Wally) that he'd start? I feel like Ben starts only off of reputation now.

Also, this time next year, Ben will be the new Wally :)

I'd say Jamison comes off the bench this year at least. You don't want to put Ben on the bench and have him come off with AV - that might work at the start of games when LeBron is in but it'd be real bad against opposing teams putting their energy players in. Jamison would be a killer 6th man, and I'd hope he'd be down with it. I mean, the dude hasn't even seen the 2nd round of the playoffs in a long time (...if ever?) so I think he'd do what Mike Brown thinks is best.

Hopefully we don't keep Andy if he asks for the kind of money he was asking for last time he was a free agent. JJ should be fine to start next year, and you have to realize we still have this summer, in which Ben's contract will be a very attractive piece for teams to make trades. Chilll.

Give it time. The trade deadline has not passed yet.

See if we did get Jamison, it would kill me to see us pay him that much as a sixth man, but I dont think the Wizards are going to do anything

Exactly... it boggles my mind how everyone seems to hang on the words of these journalists. Many of them are guessing just as much as us... or going by the smokescreens that are given to them by GM's and other insiders. Just let the deadline arrive and wait for the deals... they are definitely coming.

I don't even really want Jamison, never did. I was only for that if that pick was coming too. It seems that was just smoke being blown, because they don't seem interested in moving anything(for some stupid reason).

It seems right now it will be Camby, or nothing. For someone odd reason, I'm not THAT excited about Camby anymore. Mainly because I don't have a lot of expectations in getting him. Also if we do, I think the Clippers will try to suck as much out of Ferry as possible. So basically I don't think it's going to happen.

Hopefully some other deal, or player comes up with that we can get. Still a chance, I think. Not giving up yet, but it's not looking good so far it seems.
