I agree with Bazley and Watford. I'm meh on Jones Jr but hes 6-6 with a 7-0 wingspan and a decent defender. However I have no idea why you would want Schofield another 6-5 Wing which we don't really need another 6-5 Wing especially one who can't shoot.
i actually didnt know schofields height lol just saw him in the available small forward free agents

Makes sense. And I like Schofield as a player. But if they fill the last roster spot with another 6-5 SF when the only players on Cavs between 6-7 and 6-9 are Dean Wade (Emergency player since hes afraid to shoot the ball) Niang (Shooting specialist), Isaiah Mobley (Two Way Big) and Jarrett Allen (Center) I might lose it. We still need a big wing who can guard bigger wings in certain situations. McDaniels signed for dirt cheap with Raptors. He would have been my preferred option as a big wing stopper.

Admiral Schofield, Derrick Jones Jr., Darius Bazley, Trendon Watford
Watford would be the Cavs ideal. The contract he had would keep Cavs under the tax....

I'd be happy with Watford, Bazley sucks tho

With the rotation basically set:

Garland, Rubio, Jerome, (Porter Jr)
Mitchell, Okoro, (Bates)
Strus, Levert, Travers
Mobley, Niang, Wade
Allen, Jones, (I Mobley)

I don't see room for many additions. I can, however, see them consolidating Okoro, Rubio and/or Wade to add a starting SF or "better" C to backup JA.

Unless someone crazy comes available, I’ll bet they roll with what they have and wait until the deadline to strike. As we saw last year, playing your best ball in November/December is pretty worthless. The Cavs will actually have some decent assets available to make a trade again, and try to find that still missing piece.

I'm feeling a lot better about the Cavs as a team than I was a few days ago. Some new faces, new talent, desperately needed 3 pt shooting, all good! Got rid of some dead weight too.

Cavs likely don’t sign anyone else and leave 2 roster spots open to see if there is at least one player they will sign to camp after summer league finishes. They obviously can still be involved in some sort of trade but I wouldn’t expect another signing anytime soon.

I guess another person is saying the trade is going to center around Herro, picks, and Portland may want Heat to take back Nurkic in the deal. According to Lillard, he loves the city and is great friends with Butler. Seems Riley knew this in advance.

Because Lillard has been in talks with plenty of heat players days before. Makes sense why Riley is letting guys go, and not sweating over it.

I won’t feel comfortable until Okoro has been sent to the moon, getting rid of his twin Lamar was a good start and reduced some anxiety though

But you still need a JYD on defense occasionally. I will miss Neto for doing that when needed.

Something to point out is that adding all of these shooters will positively impact Isaac Okoro, as he will now be able to focus on being a slasher/cutter, which is his strength. I'm glad we kept him, his defense will be an asset for this team moving forward.
It's very possible that the impact of adding Strus and Jerome plus if Rubio returns to his previous level of play it will result in LESS playing time for Okoro.

I could see a guard rotation of Garland, Mitchell, Rubio, and Jerome with LeVert and Strus splitting 48 minutes at small forward. Okoro would be the odd man out. What do we need with a guy who doesn't score or rebound and whose lack of outside shooting allows the opponents to pack the paint?

Close to 0% chance Isaac is not a regular in the rotation. He definitely will be ahead of Jerome. I mean, come on.

Had they dropped Merrill's contract onto a team with a TPE slot and not acquired Jones, they could've given Bamba the 2 year/$8,415,250 BAE and still be under the second apron.

Of course, that's all predicated on Bamba agreeing that's his current value. He may want more and is waiting the market out.
You're not hearing me, they don't want to enter the tax two years before Mobley comes of his rookie deal, because once he does, that's it.
