One way to look at it. They declared our starters out yesterday, so they weren't considering todays outcomes. They easily could have decided that they didnt care who they played (not a bitch mentality) and just wanted to make sure Donovan, Darius, and LeVert were in good health going into the playoffs.

Yes, there's nothing vague or cryptic about when he first felt it. That wasn't the point.

They may have to play the loser but may have to play the winner of Chicago vs Atlanta (who will get to play the loser of the Miami-Philly game)

Lol…we’re both wrong but they‘ll play the winner of the winner of the game between the Sixers-Heat loser and the winner of the Bulls-Hawks. Bottom line is we don’t have to worry about that..lol….at least for awhile

Declaring the starters out yesterday meant they were happy to be 4th seed. Win or loss, 4th seed was a minimum. But when they had the opportunity to go for 2nd as the games were ongoing, they decided the Magic at 4 were better than the 76ers or Heat at 7. No other way to describe that late game collapse. The decision to sit players had no bearing on 3 starters and our second stringers + G-Leaguers losing to basically a G-League team. This team is incredibly weak minded. We'll see if they can get away from that in the playoffs.

Yes, it's not that straight-forward, but I am assuming Miami and Philly complete their respective play-in paths.

If Miami or Philly don't, then things get interesting.

This is simply incorrect, and Bickerstaff confirmed it postgame..

JBB said the plan was for the regular guys minutes through the third quarter and then get the bench guys minutes in the fourth.. He was directly asked if they were scoreboard watching and if they thought about altering their strategy to which he point blank said no and he wanted to stick to the plan coming into the game.. He also mentioned not altering their pre-game strategy as he was concerned that asking guys to go in the 4th when they had already cooled down was an injury risk that wasn’t worth risking..

It’s really not the conspiracy theory everyone is subscribing to..

They had their mind set on health over seeding and approached the game as such..

It’s easy to look back on it now as a decision that could have turned out better but also seeing CPJ go down in the 1st is a reminder for why they did what they did..
