It has been a few weeks... I was wondering where all the Lebron 2010 articles were...

In ESPN insider there is a Lebron to Houston or Clippers...

Will someone post it?

Thanks...

verbiage below (plenty of chuckles in this one)

LeBron James has a big decision to make this summer. Should he re-sign with the Cleveland Cavaliers, or sign with another team like the Knicks, Nets or Heat? Well, what about the Rockets? Richard Justice of the Houston Chronicle thinks LeBron should consider playing in Houston.

Justice writes: "LeBron you've got a big decision coming up, and amid all the talk of you playing for the Knicks or Nets or maybe staying with the Cavs, we hope you'll consider us. You'd love it here, and you don't have to take my word for it. Ask anyone who has played here. It's one of the NBA cities others are measured by. Players love it here. I don't know all the factors you're going to consider, but if you want to win a championship, if you want to play for a smart, first-class organization, you might not do better than the Rockets. That's where we'll begin. If you've got questions about real estate, shopping or weather, we can answer 'em all. Who needs Manhattan's crosstown traffic when you can have Allen Parkway?"

*Beg Moar:gap:*

T.J. Simers of the Los Angeles Times thinks the Los Angeles Clippers are the best team for James.

Simers writes: "I'm listening to Colin Cowherd's radio show Tuesday morning, and he's talking with someone about LeBron James maybe ending up in New York or New Jersey, and I keep waiting for Cowherd to say something brilliant. He usually does, but he's off his game, and so now I'm the one who will have to make the argument that there's an excellent chance James will be playing for the Clippers next season. Right now there are seven teams in salary-cap range to make a run at James. Among them, the Clippers offer the most attractive supporting cast to a guy who is probably pretty intent on winning a championship." :chuckles::chuckles::thumbdown

"I think he's going to go to New York," Magic Johnson said when asked where LeBron James will wind up next summer.

"They're in the lead, they just have to make it [attractive] for him," Johnson said. "LeBron will come to New York if he knows they're gonna win .... So, if they sign a free agent first, that would probably seal the deal, I believe. They should have somebody else on their radar to make him want to come."

Johnson advises a pairing with a free-agent other than Dwyane Wade because he does not believe two superstar wing players can share the ball.

"He could really be a 'King' if he could revitalize the Knicks," Johnson said. "You got some of the best basketball fans in the world, and now you could be responsible for bringing a championship back to New York. Now, it's gonna take a few years, because you still gotta add more pieces. He's got more talent in Cleveland, but he can do more incredible things in New York."

Johnson thinks James should sign a short-term contract to keep his options open for the future.

"I would say for [James], and knowing what he wants to accomplish, if he said he wants to be a billionaire, or close to it, you gotta go to New York," Johnson said. "And I would tell him this: 'Wherever you go, sign for three or four years, and then look at the situation. If you don't like it, you could go somewhere else.'

"I think he's looking at the Knicks very, very hard. He really probably wants to go to New York, but I think he's gonna see what both teams end up doing, who has the most talent."

I cannot stand that AIDS ridden piece of shit Magic...

Yeah I saw that article today. I still don't understand the whole "He can do greater things in New York" argument. Like what? The Yankees will always and forever be New York's gold standard as far as Pro Sports goes. He will never compete with the Yanks. Cleveland on the other hand....1964......Enough said. And the Knicks have very minimal talent, as well as a Offense first coach (which went over real well in Phoenix as far as winning championships).
I get sick of people like Magic boasting about the L.A.'s and New York's. So basically what he is saying is that cities like Detroit, Memphis, Cleveland and Milwaukee shouldn't even have teams, because you can't "Accomplish great things" in any of them. What's the point of having sports in America if that's the case? So that the large markets get all the talent and win all the championships? Wow, what a great idea Magic! Way to try and ruin the sport like MLB. What a joke.

Another story that makes me puke and worried..

If this was already posted and discussed, my bad. Some of his comments disgusted me and I wanted to see if it did the same for you guys.

Out of all people now Magic wants to chime in on the, LeBron wants to go to the Knicks situation.

"He could really be a 'King' if he could revitalize the Knicks," Johnson said.

I hate him. No Magic you dumb ass he could really be called "King" if he can win a championship for a city that desperately needs and hasn't won one since 1964. You ass clown!

"You got some of the best basketball fans in the world, and now you could be responsible for bringing a championship back to New York."

I hate him even more. Did ESPN pay him to say this? Back to NY? Huh? Whatever.

Well here's the whole crap story

Magic Johnson was asked where he expects LeBron James to wind up next summer.

"I think he's going to go to New York," said Johnson.

Lebron 2010

so is the billboard donation up to $1,602 or is it $1602 away from reaching it's final goal? I really want to drive by this thing.

I was thinking about this...I think he is more likely to leave if we win the title this year. I know it sounds crazy, but look at my logic.

1- If he wins one, he can say he did his duty to the fans of Cleveland.

2- He also will have one title that is "his". Now he can go team up with Wade and when they win more title's Wade and everyone won't say Lebron needed Wade to even win one. I don't see him going to play with Wade if he will always have one less title than Wade. I don't think his ego would allow it.

Any thoughts?

First off, no, it's horrible logic. He wants a "string of titles," and a Jordan-esque legacy, plain and simple.

Second off, I hope you are not thinking that you have come up with some new hypothesis or something. People have been bringing that up for years now...

Just because you say it is horrible logic does not make it so...the logic is actually very strong. Whether it happens or not we would have to wait and see.

A string of titles...that doesn't have to be here. It can be with his good buddies if they field an all star team in a warm weather "fun" city. If we win the title he may feel his job here is done and then do what HE wants to do.

And I have yet to see someone say it may be more likely he leaves if we win the title and if someone else has said it congrats to them.

It's pretty bad logic, and for the reason I stated. Unless James secretly does not mind a blight on his legacy, but until he somehow implies that, we can assume he wants a "string of titles" (his words) in a town the way Jordan did.

And LOL if you have never seen that theory thrown around. Bro, I love ya, but...people have been saying that for a loooong time. Everyone on RCF will back me up there. The "If he wins, is he more likely to leave?" sentiment has been around for a while.

Come on now man..

1.) He already would have won 1 here, so not only could he say he won multiple titles, he can also say:

-He won multiple titles for not only the same team, but for his hometown team.

-He won multiple titles for a city that has not won a title in anything since 1964.

-He not only broke the Cleveland curse, he crushed it.

2.) For that to happen, not only would somebody would have to agree to take a huge cut in pay, but that team would also have absolutely no depth, and LeBron would NOT agree to it. His ego is just too big. Yes, he's a team player, but we all know he has a big ego. He wants to win multiple titles with him as the franchise player and he's not going to want to share that.
