It's only 1 meal a day and according to all the people on this forum you need to be in a caloric deficit to lose weight.
I'm thinking of working out, going in the sauna, going for a swim (after 15 min of elliptical cardio - starting slow) then maybe having another work out.
That meal can't be more than 900 calories, why am I not losing weight?
I'm 6'3 267 lbs.
This video got me motivated to get good at basketball again: I try to eat 3 times a day, smaller portions.

Are you exercising? How many carbs in your one meal? you don't have to go keto, but don't want to go high carbs either. too much insulin is the enemy to weight loss.

you might want to get a scale that calculates body fat and focus on that number, not the weight number.

Are you weighing your food?
I went from 340 to 205 on OMAD. No strength training. Mad cardio tho. First two months all I did was eat 800 - 1300 calories while walking 3-5 miles a day. Lost around 30 lbs each month. After that I picked up boxing and Muay thai. Calories were much higher but i was working out 2-3 times a day. Point is, moving your body is OP.

I will continue to go with what works for me and what I’ve seen many others do using the same method. Including many in your weight class with higher body fat %

Limit your carb intake considerably. No more than 25g per day, go higher on fats and protein.

Water is huge, cause it will tax the kidneys if you’re not careful with limiting the carbs…

Feel free to lookup Yohimbine HCL and supplement it with Boron complex… Excellent combination in the morning…Yohimbine can cause anxiety and heart racing (I’d take a lower dosage first to see if you can tolerate it— most people can however) …15-20mg is a great range..

Take on an empty stomach and workout (either morning or 2 hours after eating meal— but if you’re going 1 meal a day, not sure that applies)

When you limit your carbs and workout your body looks for other energy sources to burn, fat becomes the target at that point…

Even tho you can’t spot reduce where you lose your fat, YHCL has a fantastic ability to get into that stomach area and real fatty areas…

Keep in mind if/when you limit your carbs considerably you will initially get some headaches and discomfort— it will go for a several days to a couple weeks…. Your body will push through and you if you stay discipline you will notice a considerable difference in your appearance and weight loss…

I did for 3 months straight, lost 30 lbs. Haven't exercised in a month. That shouldn't matter if I'm in a calorie defecit, no? Low carbs I eat once a day. Like no carbs.

Yohimbine HCL, will look up.

Eating the same thing over and over isn't great for your body either. I got caught up on that issue in college when I was pretty much exclusively eating chicken thighs, brown rice, broccoli, and eggs. Is it healthy on paper? Sure, but you also have to diversify your diet.

We're getting a little unnecessarily complex here. It's all calories in calories out. If you eat chicken every single day it's fine, macros really aren't even that important.

My guess is you're severely underestimating the calories in your beef cheese and bacon meal.

It's possible your tdee changed when you stopped working out but if you're at 900 calories a day you can do less than nothing and still lose too much weight too quickly tbh

but i'm not

but i'm not
Well sorry but it's scientifically impossible as a premise, there isn't any debate to be had here. You don't stay at the same weight while eating what appears to be 2000+ calories under maintenance, it isn't even close to the realm of possible

Stop eating bacon and cheese, go to the gym. Don't need to reinvent the wheel

Eat as many veggies as you can . Make sure you are getting good sleep at night. That makes more of a difference then you think . Try to avoid sugar and artificial snacks.
The older you get the harder it seems to get .

Are you on any meds..

After years of rigorous exercise, I was unable to get below 245.. I was taking a diabetes med, which causes weight gain. Switched to neutral med and dropped to 195.. all was in the stomach area. Still got to exercise. I cycle and do the peleton thing..
