Just wanted to get this up for now...I will try to add more info, and a poll, soon.

In the meantime, I hope the Lakers realize what they're going up against. If they can protect their home court, then they should win in 6.
 
Yawn. A Celtics vs. Lakers NBA Finals... for 4 billionth time. I'm sure the media is jacking themselves off to no end right now. I, for one, won't be watching a single minute of game play for the entire Finals, and I honestly couldn't care less who wins... because either way a douche team with douche fans is going to be holding up the trophy when it's all said and done. After LeBron's intentional tank job, Dwight's intentional tank job, the shitty-ass and questionable game calling of the referees thoughout the playoffs... I guess the NBA fix is still in.

Boston takes it IMO with the 3 straight home games in the middle of the series...

Perkins should make Bynum irrelevant (though Bynum is fully capable of doing that himself)

Garnett should dominate Gasol from a defensive standpoint... Pau will not have seen a smarter defender who can match him with size and quickness like he will in this series...

Rondo will give Fisher fits... Shannon Brown can't defend him, neither can Sasha (albeit a pesky guy) nor Farmar.... If the Lakers try anything funny luke putting Kobe or Ron on him, that severely alters their defense...

Personally, I think it's going to have to take a HUGE effort from Lamar to get the Lakers over the hump... He's truly the only mismatch on the court for the Lakers... If he has a great series, the Lakers can get it... Though, I think the Celtics are just the smarter team... They appear to be able to adapt to any style of team..
 
Fuck both teams, but I would like to see Boston win over LA
 
(Off topic) I love how Snoop is sitting here at UFC 114 instead of watching the game or being somewhere celebrating his team going to the finals. Arrogant ass Laker fans.

That said

I have to pull for Boston here. They are crypt keeper old and will not return the same team next season, no matter what. Thibadeau will finally take a head coaching job, IF Doc doesnt retire away anyway. So the bench will be different next year regardless.

I hate Boston fans, yes, but if you have to pick a lesser evil, you go with the guys who have the older core and will be less of a threat moving forward.

My ideal situation now, would be some form of implosion involving Ron Artest, Kobe, Andrew Bynum and or Phil Jackson. Any one of those 3 players against Phil Jackson will be a win for Cleveland fans. Run the Zen master out of town in more ways than one.
 
Seeing Nash cry after the game really hurt. I personally feel that the NBA is the most punishing on a star athlete. This is the passion I wish Bron had because he doesn't know if this season could have been his best chance to get a ship. He doesn't know what could happen and he might never get a chance to win.

The Finals could be great but I'm already tired of these Lakers/Celtics matchups and frankly I'm just tired of seeing the same teams (mainly the Lakers) in the Finals every year. The more and more I think about it I really am starting to think the league is really rigged. Don't get me wrong both of these teams deserve to be here and this probably the worst postseason in a while but something about this season smells conspiracy to me. There's just so little parity and it has really gotten boring seeing the same couple of teams make the Finals.
 
I want Boston to win. I absolutely loathe 90% of the Lakers fan base. They gloat win they win and the sky is falling when they lose. I've never seen such a bunch of whiny, entitled fucks in my life.

Kobe will probably be on Rondo. They can't have Kobe running around after Ray Allen on screens, and Artest on Piece is a given.
