Aren't people sick of the league rigging it so the same two damn teams are in it every year?

the league didn't rig it, Jerry West and Kevin McHale took care of it with their trades where they each only considered 1 team as a trade partner.

thank god vladimir radmanovic isn't going to be the one guarding pierce this time around :chuckles:

I think Kobe is going to have to play absolutely great for the Lakers to win. I am not so sure he can pull that off against the Boston defense.

Boston is the first team (and really the only team in the league) that LA will play where they don't have a HUGE size and skill advantage with the bigs.

Perk, KG, Sheed, and Davis aren't going to allow Odom, Gasol, and Bynum to dominate like they have against every other team.

I really think it is going to be a great series. If I had to pick a winner, I would pick Boston, but I wouldn't be surprised if LA won either.

LA does match up A LOT better defensively this year compared to 2 years ago. Having Bynum will help take away some easy buckets in the paint from Boston.

I think that Kobe can guard Rondo and Fisher can guard Ray Allen. If we can put Mo Williams on Allen, then Fisher can guard him.

I think it is going to be a great series. I don't feel that either team has a HUGE advantage anywhere.

I don't see any rigging. Boston and LA have outplayed each of their opponents throughout the entire postseason, and 100% deserve to be there. Lets not forget that we've also seen 4 different champions the past 4 seasons, so this year is actually the break from convention as one of the two will win their 2nd title in the past 5 years.

This should be an amazing series, possibly the best Finals since Miami/Dallas. My pick is Boston because they have more guys who can get it done on any given night, and more importantly, in the clutch; they are the best road team in the NBA; they are the far superior defensive team; and the biggest mismatch is in Boston's favour -- Rondo is gonna light up Fisher time after time in this series.

This series is going to be pretty simple.

It'll come down to a few match-ups, Odom and Sheed...Gasol and Garnett. Two years ago, Gasol and Odom got punked by KG and Powe. If Boston can keep Gasol and Odom from having huge games, they'll win. If not, they'll lose. That simple.

I do not give a fuck. I actually would like to see both teams lose.

Man, no offense, but honestly, that's how I felt about Cavalier fans watching some threads this year. That's why I was rooting for the Celtics - Cav's fans were just so arrogant this year.

Cavs fans are arrogant? Did you know that Lakers fans were making fun of Nash when he was crying just because they were still bitter over a series loss years ago? That's what kind of fan base the Lakers have. Lakers fans are fans of a franchise that is one of the richest, luckiest, and most talented franchises of all time. Nothing is ever good enough for them though. How can a fan base be so hateful, bitter, and arrogant when they've had the privilege to watch players like Kobe, Shaq, Kareem, Magic, Jerry West, Wilt, and Worthy is beyond me, but they manage to be all of those things.

Ya know, being from L.A and all, I remember playing basketball in San Pedro at a tournament when I was 13 (back in '95 before the Lakers even dreamed about getting Shaq and Kobe wasn't even a thought at that point) my mom, who is a huge Lakers fan since she was in her early 20's in the mid 80's when the Lakers were dominating---told me that one day when the Lakers were back on top I would regret not being a Lakers fan...

She was correct....:chuckles:

In terms of basketball, I've made it quite difficult for myself....

what part of L.A. ??? L.A. used to be a Dodgers town especially in the 70s and early 80's .... it quickly started to change after Reggie and the Yanks went back-to-back against LOS DOYERS and Magic and Doc Buss changed the game as we know it.

Those were some really good times .....

Yes, Cav's fans are arrogant. I never said that Lakers fans weren't arrogant - They are. You said that the Lakers "gloat when they win and the sky is falling when they lose." Funny, that's what I noticed here, especially the "sky is falling part," but before that, man, what a party. Don't call out our fan base, when yours is the same or worse.

Venice Beach... I then moved to Westwood when I went to UCLA...

My advice to you would be not to post here if you don't like the way Cavs fans act. Besides, your comments are without merit. This is, after all, a Cavs message board. Or do you want to wait around and gloat if the Lakers win it all? I'm thinking so. You really have no reason to join or post here unless you want to shit stir.

It will be a chance to observe our future coach PJ

and our future short-term SG- Ray Allen.

(I can dream?)

Will not watch at all. I really couldn't care less who wins, but I suspect Boston takes the cake here, and I actually think they do it easily. Even with how much the media has talked them up, I still think they are underrated - I don't think people realize what they just did in beating Orlando and Cleveland without HCA. If it weren't for the Lakers having HC, there would be no doubt in my mind as to who is going to win this series...

Not that I give a fuck...

What thread are we at?

Poll added. Celtics in 5 or 6.
