2012 NBA Free Agents

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
True, but I also wonder how much JET has left in the tank. He's no spring chicken himself. Guy does turn 35 in a couple months after all.

True, but while Ray is a better shooter, Terry is the better scorer at this stage of their careers. Boston was hurting badly in the postseason when Pierce didn't have it & Allen couldn't create as much.

Shocking news here:

@SpearsNBAYahoo: Knicks close to obtaining point guard Raymond Felton in sign and trade with Blazers, source tells Y! Sports.

@SpearsNBAYahoo: Jeremy Lin appears close to being a Houston Rocket with Raymond Felton to NY deal close to being done, sources tell Y!

wat wow

the knicks need a dramatic change if they want to legitimately contend - melo, stat, and chandler isn't enough. taking the chance on lin is way, way better than getting a really mediocre pg in felton. lin might not work out, but he at least has the chance to really elevate the team....felton doesn't.

Felton killed it during his time with the Knicks, which is why teams like Denver and Portland wanted him in the first place. Maybe NY considers his problems as a player to be situational and think he's a better fit than Lin. He's not a bad player when his head is in the right place. Probably cheaper as well.

yeah and both denver and portland subsequently moved him. wonder why? because he's not good. felton was bad in charlotte, bad in denver, and bad in portland. he's gonna be bad in new york, too. but then again, the knicks love making poor decisions so this fits their history.

It's definitely a long shot attempt at making the team better, that was the only situation that came to mind where acquiring Felton makes any sense. The trade with Portland was actually a decent bargain for only giving up Jeffries and Gadzurik, the problem is subsequently not matching Houston's bid for Lin, though I don't think that's set in stone just yet (or is it?).

Sam Amick just said that Felton will get $18 mil over 4 years.

WHAT THE HELL ARE THE KNICKS THINKING???

Josh Childress got put on amnesty waivers. Seems like a perfect buy-low option at SF. Not a core piece by any means as he is 29... but he was a decent enough contributor in ATL a few years back (enough to get 5 years $33.5 Million).

6'8... afro... why the hell not?

At $2-3M per year, absolutely. Any more than that, no thanks.

If Kyrie wants to throw some alley-oop passes, Childress would be a nice back-up SF. But overall, Casspi is better and younger, imo.

last night during usa/brazil game, they said barbosa is still an unsigned free agent?? this seems like a no brainer at the right price with andy here

Did you watch Barbosa in the playoffs last season? No thanks.
