2012 NBA Free Agents

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Did you watch Barbosa in the playoffs last season? No thanks.

I can't take another year where we fill out roster with d-league garbage. Barbosa shot 40% from the field and 42% from 3 point land last year. I'd rather have a guy who is decent than some no name, d league, scrub.

I'd rather give the minutes to our young guys with potential than sign somebody just to say we don't have an extra "no name" on the roster..

Hollinger posted an interesting article about Humphries' contract. One effect of the $12M/year is that it may better facilitate trading for Howard (to help match up with those terrible Orlando bad contracts). We'll see if it gets that far.

That would make sense. It's probably the only sense in why Gerald Wallace would be the lowest paid starter on that team :chuckles:

Well Hedo has 12/year for two years... so the humphries trade doesn't make sense unless there is a team option on the second year... or some small buyout, or if it is used in conjunction with other expiring to match the 31 million of Howard and Hedo.

Does anyone know what the terms are on the second year of the deal?

Side note. Gilbert Arenas is still getting paid 20 million a year for the next two years to do absolutely nothing???? What a lucky bastard. The NBA and their max contracts for bums...

Think Gilbert actually took less than was offered at the time in order to leave room for the Wiz to sign other players. Worked out well for the Wiz didn't it.

i'm pretty sure he took 111million, not a huge discount

Apparently Ryan Hollins has found a new home...

Javale McGee 4 yrs/ 44 million??

Damn, Nuggets.

That's not overpaying at all. He's 7', athletic, willing defender, seemed to turn it on in Denver. This isn't the Washington Wizard McGee. This is the guy that played pretty well in the playoffs, and with a full training camp and playing under George Karl to help him improve even more. I would've given him this deal easily.

It sounds like Marco Belinelli and the Chicago Bulls are in advanced talks. Nothing imminent, but he may sign for the bi-annual exception.

If this goes through, 2 underrated, low priced signings the past 2 days by Chicago with Radmanovic & Belinelli.

VladRad is a bum.

Marco can shoot though.

Literally no risk in bringing him in for the minimum. He's a great depth signing for cheap & has shown he can spread the floor.

From deep, he's shot below 35.5% only twice and below 37% only four times in his 11 year career.
