I don't think we wind up in the top five 2013 picks. More likely is low teens, plus a Sactown pick. I think we will be hunting small forwards for sure, but possibly another center, of which there are many in this draft. Because of what I think is going to be our draft position, given the current rankings, I see us looking hard at Nash and Leslie, but once the season starts rolling, we could see Deshaun Thomas or Otto Porter move up, as both are playing on good teams that could do well in March. If we finish with a mildly better pick, Adonis Thomas might be on the radar as well.

Adonis Thomas is one of the most athletic players in this draft. I think it goes Noel, Thomas, Nash, Shabbazz

Adonis Thomas is also trying to make the Cleveland Browns

Does anybody think Zeke Marshall can make it in the league

I've seen him play twice, wasn't impressed. He has height, not sure he has desire, and other than blocks he certainly doesn't play up to his size for boards and scoring. Hard to tell tho, he could have improved his shooting a lot over the summer... big guys are tough to project. If I had to say right now, I would say there is a chance he gets drafted or gets an invite, but little chance he makes a roster....unless he really steps up his scoring. He's doesn't bang inside, and has no outside shot (so far)... so how far is that gonna take him? Just my opinion tho. Also, considering most of his competition is smaller MAC centers... he should be getting a lot more easy points every game... but doesn't. Why is that.
Same with Trey Zeigler, the 6'5 ex guard from Central Michigan who just transferred to Pitt. Lot of hype, not a lot of desire. A friend of mine was on the coaching staff at Central that all just got fired. I had asked him before about Marshall and of course we talked about Zeigler... you are gonna get what you see... maybe a few minutes of talent shining through here or there... then just mediocre or dis-interested play. And it'll be interesting to see what Trey does at Pitt... now that he's not playing for his dad... what's he gonna do when Dixon starts getting on him for dogging it... how will he respond, if at all? Both kids have good size for their positions... but do they have heart and toughness? I don't see it. Zeigler really increased his boards last year, but both kids need to improve their shooting for their respective positions.

I think this could be the year we see the Sacramento pick; however, there's several elements to the equation: Does Tyreke stop dominating the living shit out of the ball and share with his teammates? Does DeMarcus Cousins pull his head out of his ass and act like a man? Does Isiah Thomas show that his size isn't such a big issue and prove that his solid rookie season wasn't an aberration? Is Thomas Robinson legit?

There's serious talent in Sacramento without a doubt, and if they unite and realize they can be as good as they want to be, they're playing in late April.

So, say we have three first rounders. That's a good chance to land another starter (hopefully a 3) and an opportunity to begin establishing the bench. Perhaps a spot up shooting guard or something.

If we get that Sac pick that would give us our pick (imo 8-12), their pick (14-17), and LAL/MIA (25-29). That should be enough ammo for us to move up in the draft imo.

Has anyone seen Poythress play a full game? He looks like a really good athlete, it seems like he has a nice stroke and he has a big wing-span. 3 or 4?

Draft Express has him as a 6'8 PF

Based on where we drafted last year, the 2013 mock right now has us taking Rudy Gobert the 6'11 PF/C 20 yr old from France. 7'9 wingspan and last year in the french league in 14 mpg, averaged 4 pts, 4 reb and a block.

Highlights from 2012 Adidas Eurocamp, this video has him listed at 7'2

Gobert is probably going to end up the top 8 come draft time along with Noel (sp), Zeller and Adams

if this is the year we trade AV (hopefully for a sf) one of those players would be great replacements even when you add isaiah austin who i really like. He is 7'1 and he can he shoots up to 18ft he also has good handles and is a great shot blocker. He is frail but still bigger than anothny davis and noel, he would be a great match with either TT or zeller with his jumper and defensive potential.

On the perimeter, Austin has the ability to knock down shots with range out to about 18 feet, as well as solid ball-handling skills for a player his size, at times showing the ability to create his own shot and pull up off the dribble in impressive fashion. He has a good basketball IQ and appears to understand how to play within a team concept, which should make him very easy for Scott Drew to integrate into Baylor's offense next season.

Defensively, Austin is an incredible presence inside the paint with his combination of length and mobility, being extremely difficult to shoot over when rotating from the weak-side when dialed in. He blocks and alters plenty of shots both on and off the ball, which will make him a commodity throughout his career at the center position.

Scout: Isaiah Austin Could Be Best Freshman In 12-13

Isaiah Austin, an incoming freshman at Baylor, had an impressive showing at the Adidas Nations camp last weekend.

"I think he's a better prospect than Perry Jones or Quincy Miller," one NBA scout said. "I wish he was 25 pounds heavier and I wish Baylor had guards that would get him the ball, but I do think he's got a chance to be the best freshman in his class."

Austin is a seven-foot center.

Guys like Drummond,Howard,Hibbert & Bynum are definately a rare breed of Center...Whats with all these super frail ass 7fters that looks like they'll get broken in half at the NBA level?

More likely a 3.
