Myck Kabongo might not get drafted. With the agent connection and our need for a backup PG I can see him at least on our summer league team.

High school teammates with both Tristan and Bennett and has been living with Tristan for the last two months. Unless Grant hates him, I definitely think he'd get at least a summer league invite.

That is amazing to go from an All American to undrafted in two years... From what I hear he is a decent defender, and I know he is a decent playmaker... I haven't followed him at Texas too close, is there something I am missing?

Pretty much. It's a bummer that Chris Grant was trying to rip teams off, as per The Bullshit Whisperer... I get that it worked before from LAC with the Irving pick, but getting lucky cant be your business strategy

Undrafted: C.J. Leslie, Myck Kabongo, B.J. Young, Richard Howell, Jackie Carmichael, Phil Pressey

Kabongo could be our answer for the back up point spot. I'm sure he would sign here as he's living in Cleveland with Tristan right now.

Agree. He makes too much sense right now. Don't see him serving as the main backup this year but certainly as a 15th man playing in Canton.

1st round Instant analysis from Ford (Insider)...

1
Cleveland
Anthony Bennett 6-8 240 PF
UNLV
The Cavs shocked just about everyone by taking Anthony Bennett No. 1. They loved him because they thought he'd be a great pick-and-roll partner for Kyrie Irving. Bennett was the player in this draft with the best chance to be a 20-and-10 guy. I liked Nerlens Noel and Victor Oladipo better. But Bennett is a good player and a solid pick in this draft at No. 1.

19
Cleveland
(From L.A. Lakers)
Sergey Karasev 6-7 197 SG
Russia
The Cavs have coveted Karasev for a while and he fills an immediate need for them at small forward. Karasev is a fantastic shooter with deep range. He's also a great ball handler with a terrific basketball IQ. He's going to be able to step in and help right away. Great pick for the Cavs.

Just to be clear, we're to assume The Bullshit Whisperer, who got everything wrong about everything, was right on this?

Anyone have insider for ESPN? Curious to see what Chad Ford had to say about the Cavs' draft.

Edit: ha, someone posted it as I was typing.

Fair enough, but it didn't seem like it was his speculation, it sounded like something he heard someone else say lol

That's how The Bullshit Whisperer usually expresses his disdain. He writes his opinion then slaps the "Western Conference GM" label on it.

I'm still surprised that Myck Kabongo went undrafted. He has so much talent. In a few years, we might look back on that and laugh.
