2014 NFL Draft Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Anyone listen to Cosell on the Ross Tucker podcast? He LOVES Moncrief, said he has some (not all) similarities with Josh Gordon and Demaryius Thomas. Still only 20 years old and a pretty freaky athlete in his own right.

I love Moncrief but still this brings a tear to my eye.

Smith is 5'7"ish and 180 pounds, I have not yet understood what makes that play AWESOME? I could understand if the back was over 200 lbs and a strong runner, Smith was all speed and not much else.

All he did was jump the snap count, which is great and all...but if he's hitting anyone besides a TSUN running back I probably watch this play once, enjoy it and move on.

Is Moncrief grouped in with the likes of Matthews and co in 2nd round?

I think Moncrief will be more a 3rd round guy because he's so raw. However, if he would end up panning out, he could easily be the best WR in this class. The problem is that his route running blows and he is also a body catcher.

Jordan Matthews will be the best WR out of this class.

I think he or Beckham may be the biggest starting impact.

We'll see on Watkins or, again, Moncrief. I think those two have the chance to be legit #1's in the NFL.

For what it's worth, in the same podcast Cosell said he really loved Beckham Jr and said every time he watched him, he came away more impressed.

I'd rather have OB Jr. at 26 than Watkins at 4, personally. I really wish this front office would take Bortles or Bridgewater, but it's just my opinion.

Agreed. I wouldn't mind if they go defense too, just not Watkins. I'm a big fan of Watkins, but when you look at the type of receivers potentially available with our #26 or 2nd rounder, I don't think they're enough of a downgrade to justify taking Watkins at 4.

This is exactly correct.

Watkins reminds me of Julio Jones
