2014 RCF Mock Draft

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I know everyone is enjoying this and I am wondering if anyone wants to play a fantasy version of the NBA... We are 2 general managers short and are looking for active members. We have a Chatzy chat where we discuss the league..... some of us use skype for trades (rcf inbox for others) If you are interested in knowing more please pm me as the offseason is about to start.

Just wanted to second this. We've got quite a few RCF members involved already. It's a pretty simple premise, where you are the GM in charge of a team in this fictional basketball league.

It could be explained as an NBA 2k dynasty, with fictional coaches and players.

This league is through 2 seasons and it has been a lot of fun so far. We'd love to get 2-3 more active GM's for teams. Feel free to hop on over to our chatzy page if you have any questions!

Also feel free to PM me with any questions. We are improving the league each season. I would love to hear from some new GMs!

Thanks for listening and good luck in the rest of your Mock Draft. We are coming up on our draft period in this league!

Winnersville I cannot pm you the info but join the Chat that Jimbo posted so you can ask any questions you may have

With the 49th pick in the 2014 NBA draft, the Sacramento Kings select Richard Soloman PF California.

Have to give you credit on this one, you really had to do some digging to find this guy.

With the 50th pick the Suns select Jabari Brown, the only one I've really seen out of the prospects left :chuckles:

Out of somebody here at the bottom of the 2nd round that doesn't feel like making another pick or has too many draft picks the way it is, I could take a pick off your hands. I can give you a player at the end of my bench or a future second rounder. Let me know.

Let me guess, you select a small forward.

What players are you willing to give up?

Chris Johnson or Joel Anthony....

I mean, its a late 2nd rounder. There is nobody I particularly want, but I thought it would be fun to draft one more time. A future 2nd is probably an easier trade.

There has been a trade at the top of the draft.

The Cleveland Cavaliers will send the #1 overall pick, a 2015 1st round pick from Memphis, a 2015 1st round pick from Miami, and a 2015 2nd round pick from Cleveland to the Philadelphia 76ers for the #3 overall pick, the #52 overall pick, and Nerlens Noel.

The Philadelphia 76ers are on the clock.

With the 3rd pick in the 2014 NBA Draft the Cleveland Cavaliers select:

Andrew Wiggins, SG/SF, Kansas University

Kyrie Irving, Dion Waiters, Andrew Wiggins, Al Horford, Nerlens Noel

The Milwaukee Bucks are on the clock.

With the 51st pick in the draft the Dallas Mavs select.... Walter Tavares, Center, Spain

Great pick, especially with the Mavs needing depth at center. I'm amazed that he slid so far in spite of the fact that he's one of the guys who's actually been talked about around here as an option with the 33rd pick.

Well actually, I thought I just saw a thing where Tavares just signed a new contract to play overseas. So he won't be playing for awhile in the NBA. I saw how big he was and his name was Walter, so I really thought about taking him. Then I watched some video of him, and he is terrible. I can tell a bad center when I see one.

Didn't hear about him signing a new contract overseas...but when evaluating his play, keep in mind that the ACB league is a much higher level of competition than college.

Who cares if Tavares signed a contract overseas that may impact his coming over this season? Teams take those kinds of players all the time, especially in the 2nd round, and especially if they slip far below where they're projected. Not to mention that we should probably get to ignore the fact that he signed overseas since we're also ignoring things when some posters here are trading consecutive 1st rounders for more than half a decade, making trades with no consideration for the CBA, including free agents in trades, and moving their teams to another city :chuckles:
