and this is why asg appearances should be taken with a grain of salt. they often just reward marquee names or flashy players; not guys who are elite at what they do and have a massive impact on the composition and success of their respective team.I can't really see how you put Korver in the all star game, even as a reserve. I know ATL has been ballin', but he's still only averaging 13 points, albeit on 51% shooting and 53 from down town. still though, those are not all star numbers those are incredibly efficient role player numbers. I would not have Korver in the game at all.
Kobe out for the year. I'd imagine Harden would have to get the start.
I saw the other day that based on Kyle Korver's 3PT% by itself, he would be 14th in the NBA in FG%, behind only Kevin Durant and 13 big men. While he may be a role player, he's having the single GREATEST shooting season any player has ever had. Ever. In NBA history. 52/53.5/92. He's shooting 53.5% on 6 threes a game. If a guy is having an historic season, to me, that trumps his role player status.
Mason Plumlee sure doesn't scream "dunk contest" to me. Lavine has that in the bag.
