2016-2017 Around The NBA

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Boston only up 4 on Detroit at halftime. Would be great to get them to take another L and stay 5 losses back.

P.J Tucker would have been extremely good on our team.
I think he is going to be even better defensively on a competitive team. Too bad we couldn't snag him somehow.

He'll be fine until they have to play 4 on 5 offensively.

Otto Porter is either coming back down to earth or going through a slump

Only scored 6 in 40 minutes today and 7 a couple days ago against Philly. 1-7 on threes.

Wizards lost both games.

Speaking of top heavy, the Wizards are the definition.

FYI - League Pass is running a free trial right now. Ends tonight I think.

Pels aren't making the playoffs this year, in my opinion. Aside from Jrue, there really are no other quality contributors on that roster. They'll need to have a good off-season to restructure that team around their front-court, or simply put get some fucking shooters.

Davis & Cousins are so good but the rest of that team is so bad. Jrue especially is having a hard time adjusting.

I'm tired of watching all these other guards get double digit free throws every game while I've never seen kyrie register 10 in a game in his career

Pels now 0-3 with Boogie who at this rate will be be suspended a few games for techs. Kings deal looks significantly less awful if that 1st rounder that was presumed to be about the 15th pick ends up sliding up to top 5 range.

Deal is still trash, and I really doubt it will slide up that high. Plus that would make it much more likely that they get lucky with ping pong balls and the top 3 protection kicks in.

I knew they would struggle. Their guards and wings just all really suck. Even Jrue Holiday, who isn't bad...he really isn't the type of pure point/distributor you want playing with those kind of bigs up front. They need a CP3 type, or a Mike Conley, etc.. and some 3 and D wings, and some fuckin depth! They have way too many straight d-league scrubs.

Asik and Ajinca combined take up like 15-20 million in cap space to literally suck and do nothing. It's bad. And Cassipi breaks his hand and gets waived, when he would have actually been a solid addition for them. Sucks for them. I also think Gentry is a bad coach for this team. They need a defensive coach, because those two dudes could truly control the game defensively/on the glass and just pound teams down low offensively playing slow.

They did play a LOT better tonight vs OKC, and if Cousins didn't foul out, they might've won.

They still massively won the trade, big-time, but their roster is just so super bad everywhere else that it's so hard to win consistently. The worst part is they also really don't have much in terms of assets or cap-space, and now Boogie is much more likely to leave and go to LA or Miami or whatever since he cant get his 230 million anymore. They probably HAVE to re-sign Jrue Holiday, and then trade another first rounder for some wing help, to at least try and become a legit playoff team before Boogie is a free agent. Throw their entire MLE at a shooter. They would be a good team next year if Holiday stayed healthy and they get some continuity going and like I said, at least 1 wing player who doesnt suck and can shoot.

(Windhorst mentioned Korver for this...but the Cavs would prob pay Korver 8M and I doubt hed want to play out his last years in a situation like that..).

The good news is the Pelicans can maybe royally fuck SAC from this trade. Miss the playoffs and land the number one pick just to troll.

I feel SAC deserves it for being that incompetent.

If the Pelicans pick ends up top-3, they keep it.

May actually be in the Pels' best interest to sink lower and lower.
