2016-2017 Around The NBA

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Spurs are playing some good basketball right now. Gasol getting back has taken them to another level.

Not sure they can beat GS, but idk, you can never count the Spurs out.

If the Pelicans pick ends up top-3, they keep it.

May actually be in the Pels' best interest to sink lower and lower.
Wouldn't that be something, if they added a top 3 pick in this draft with AD & Cousins...

Wow. Crazy to think about.

I used to talk up Drummond being very good but he is absolute filth, and I'm glad we never drafted him because we'd discuss trading him every opportunity.

He went 1-11 from the freethrow line, he literally takes the FREE out of freethrow.

I mean it's trash. He's trash. Fuck his dunks, fuck his pedestrian defense, he has no skill, just height.

The Pistons should never win a playoff game in the 4th quarter with him.

In a one game series, San Antonio has a shot. In a seven game series.. not so much.

It makes me softly chuckle to myself when I realize there are actually Cavs fans that think either of these teams could give us any trouble

I think people really underrate just how much better we will be than last year when at full health. We literally added quite possibly the best shooter in the league, a legit LeBron backup and a slasher, and hopefully one of the best defensive 5's in the league and the best backup PG in the league if we get Williams and Bogut.

Even without them at full tilt we put either of these teams in the dirt

I always think that anything can happen. The biggest risk is continuity and Lue finding a rotation. We aren't a good defensive team and that bothers me. I am not scared and we should always be favored, but crazy things happen.

On paper, we should steamroll into the finals with 2-3 losses, but you just never know. The nice thing about my mentality is that if we end up with a tough series or even a couple of tough ones on our way to the finals, I am not going to be disappointed, as long as we get there.

No shot? As in "not a chance"? I never count Pop out. This guy had his guys winning games without their 2-4th best players. If they can gel, I don't think it's that crazy. I haven't watched the Spurs a ton but they shouldn't be taken lightly, given that they have the 2nd best record in the league, they rest their players, and they have had some injuries.

Embiid certainly doesn't deserve the ROY playing just 31 games which equals 40% of season.

Give it to the next guy, which could be Saric.

As long as Embiid didn't tear something major, this will be for the better. You know what you've got, now.

Get that pick, get that Lakers pick, and then just unleash Simmons and Embiid on the league next season.

It does kinda piss me off for some reason that taking Wiggins number 1 still looks like the right choice given the other two can't stay healthy. They're better...but it doesn't matter if they can't stay on the court.

Poor Rockets... who's Isaiah Taylor? :chuckle:

Morey was beating his chest when he made extra cap room to sign a guy like Bogut for a little more money.

Fail.
