OSU vs. Michigan Twitter is absolutely nuts right now.

Can't embed from my phone, but Harbaugh went in on OSU AD Gene Smith after some comments he made in regards to using Florida practices to "jumpstart a program."

Yup, Zeke and others commented on it as well. Pretty funny.

Notre Dame finally joined the B1G.

...

But only in hockey.

Pussies.

B1G hockey ruined college hockey with their forced realignment, all for the $$$$$, and it's failed miserably. Notre Dame hockey has their own TV contract with NBC Sports and the B1G is allowing them to keep it, something the B1G refused to budge on two years ago when realignment first occurred so Notre Dame joined HockeyEast.

B1G now stands at 7 programs, I think Arizona State (no current conference affiliation/start up program) joins next month for an even 8 members. But the domino effect of Notre Dame leaving the HockeyEast now means the ECAC will probably lose Quinnipiac (#1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament) to HockeyEast, then Atlantic Hockey will lose either Holy Cross or Rochester Institute of Technology (Made the NCAA Tournament this year) to the ECAC.

A lot of lost rivalries with all these conference changes.....

OHIO STADIUM RENOVATIONS PLANNED FOR 2017-20

  • Restore and re-coat the 94-year old concrete on C-deck.
  • Upgrade power distribution systems for the east, west and south stands.
  • Improve and upgrade B-deck to include better lighting, larger televisions, an improved sound system and better scoreboards, which will improve the experience of fans with obstructed-view seats.
  • Renovate the premium seating area to consolidate the university suites into one University Suite and add 35 loge boxes and 12 luxury suites.

The university has been planning for this upgrade for several years. In 2014, seats were moved for the South Stands expansion. Prior to 2014, stadium seating capacity was 102,329. The 2014 project increased it to 104,944. In order to complete the next phase of the project announced today, an estimated 2,600 seats will be removed beginning with the 2018 season, returning the stadium to a gameday seating capacity of 102,854. Those seats will not be available for the 2016 season ticket holder seat selection process. However, they will be available this season for alumni and public purchase on a singlegame basis. Even though seats will be removed, there will still be an overall gain of 525 seats over the pre-2014 south stand expansion. Most of the seats lost will be on B-deck in areas that can have obstructed views and where some fans traditionally consider the view to be less than ideal.

Project timeline:

  • Design and build process completed in fall 2016.
  • C-deck concrete restoration takes place in phases from 2017-2020.
  • Removal of 2,600 seats begins with the 2018 season.
  • University Suite expansion completed in Aug., 2017.
  • Suites and loge seats completed in 2019.

Don't worry kids, the NCAA also deregulated electronic communication.

So not only will coaches not be able to see you in person, they have unlimited access to blow up your phone without any regulations.

Because it's all about you guys, the valued sportsmen of amateur athletics.

That is the worst part about it.

So not only will recruits be getting fucking blasted with texts messages at all times, but now the coaches have to do way more to keep up. You almost have to hire somebody now whose sole job is sending text messages.

How do these people at the NCAA have jobs? Seriously. Just unbelievable stupidity coming from them on a consistent basis.

Meyer went in on the NCAA today.

"Ignorant" decisions were his choice words for the moves.

As he damn well should. The camp ruling is one of the most asinine things I've ever seen.

My brother played football in high school and went to one of OSU's summer camps. He was by no means an OSU-level player, but it was unbelievable to see the amount of coaches from visiting schools from all levels (MAC all the way down to DIII). Now the opportunity to be viewed by a number of staffs from a variety of schools is gone. Kids and their families aren't going to want to waste their time and money traveling around to camps at schools like Toledo, Kent State or Ohio. It was easy one-stop-shopping. Now it's a big headache for everyone involved.

Yeah, he pretty much went the fuck in.

Also, this wouldn't have become such a huge issue if Harbaugh hadn't gone around like a dickhead bragging about his stupid satellite camps. His hubris is what got the SEC all riled up in the first place.
