2016 College Football Lines/Gambling Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Good looking out on that WV/BYU over AZ. That was easy money.

I'm still salty I missed on Bama/Kent by .5 point. Kent State could've kicked a FG to cover and to break the shutout but they decided to run the ball against the Bama D on a 4th and goal at the 7. Thanks assholes.

Tennessee/Florida has been the weirdest game. 21 unanswered by Florida followed by 38 unanswered by Tennessee. My under dead long ago but my 5 game parlay is still alive with the UT win. Go Stanford -1.5 and Ark/A&M over.

I don't I'll ever lay another dime on BGSU....just a dumpster fire.

Wish I had taken Nebraska and FSU on the spread rather than money line. Good call on over with WVU/BYU.

Under on Tenny and UF was obliterated by end of third Q. Surprised it was that open of a game, although UF was up 21-0 before they decided to quit playing in second half. I don't think McCelwain will last in UF more than another year or two.

Marshall covering +32 by skinned their teeth was a nice bonus.

Stanford back door covering made it a good Saturday for sure.

Amazing how terrible Jinks has been for BGSU this year.

They were MAC champs last year, and sure they lost a lot of talent, but there was no excuse for last nights performance.

Holy shit. Had Stanford -3.5. Covered with the sack fumble return for a TD as time expired

I had Stanford at -3 and after they scored that TD to take the lead I was just happy with the push. That last second fumble return TD was a bonus.

Ended up hitting a $50 to win $450 parlay that featured WV/BYU over, Arkansas/A&M over, USC -1.5, Tennessee straight up, and Washington straight up.

Of course the biggest layup of the group, Washington, kept me up until 2am because they let Arizona take the game to overtime.

Overall, my most successful Saturday of betting. Only blemishes were the FL/Tenn under, Iowa -13, and Bama/Kent over (there was 41 points in the 1st half and only 7 in the 2nd half.. lost by a fucking .5 point!)

Read that overall it was a good day for bettors and Vegas took a pretty big hit. Assuming alot of that had to do with the Stanford back door cover and that friendly FSU line.

He's pretty awful. Was never a huge fan to begin with and felt like it was a lazy hire just because he ran the "Baylor offense". I mean Knapke was good enough for a division title and bowl win in '14 when Matt Johnson went down week one, and they still have Moore on offense and Valdez on defense. They've been embarsssing this year. I'm glad I've stayed away from them the last two weeks after the North Dakota game.

Haven't placed any bets yet for Week 5 but a few early lines jumping out at me...

Texas Tech -28 vs Kansas
- Tech is at home and can put points up in a hurry and Kansas is hot doo doo. Assuming this spread stays in this range I'll probably be in on the 1H spread for this too.

Wisconsin +10.5 at Michigan
- Michigan is really good (barf) but this just seems high for two teams who are so close in the rankings, especially when Wisconsin has looked their best in big games away from home this year. I think Michigan wins but 10.5 seems a little generous.

Tennessee -3.5 at Georgia
- I might wait and see how Tennessee's injury situation looks as the week goes on. Nice effort to come back and beat Florida at home, and Georgia just got smacked by Ole Miss, but Tennessee's inconsistency worries me.

Michigan State -8 at Indiana
- This has already jumped a half point since this morning. MSU obviously had a rough week against Wisconsin but IU lost at home to Wake Forest by 5.

Western Michigan -3 at Central Michigan
- Western is just so impressive this year. 2-0 versus the Big Ten (both on the road) and demolished a good mid major in Georgia Southern. Central just gave up 49 to a bad Virginia team in a losing effort.

Like all of these picks, especially Texas Tech and Western Michigan.

Pat Mahomes is one of my favorite players in CFB. Tech's lone loss came with Mahomes leading Tech to 55 points. Kansas will struggle to keep pace.

Also thinking of adding:

Arizona State +7.5 at USC. My gf is a USC grad so I've seen alot of them this year, and being over a touchdown favorite seems generous.

I'm also feeling Stanford +3 at Washington. It was a road game against Arizona, but Washington kind of gave off an overrated vibe to me. It might be a bit of a recency bias on this pick but Stanford just strikes me as the better team, and I would probably pick them to win outright if I had to. In this case, even if they lose a close one, it'll still payout or push.

Baylor -16 at Iowa State... similar reasons as TT/Kansas

Florida -10 at Vanderbilt (Just read Luke Del Rio is doubtful to play, so maybe not)

Find it surprising the MSU/IU line has already dropped to 7.5. That was one I jumped on early thinking it would trend the other direction.

Not sure what to make of that Indiana game yet, losing to Wake Forest is terrible optics but they're seemingly much better than they were a year ago.

Lagow can sling, but I think the discrepancy is how poorly the MSU offense can look at times.

Very new at this, mostly done it for fun on some free apps but just started with a little fun money to keep the weekends interesting. Won a 3-team parlay each of the last 2 weekends including the last second Stanford cover to top off last weekend. Definitely looking to get into this weekend, looking forward to seeing what you guys get into

Going to be a light week for me, gone most of the weekend and won't be able to enjoy much football.

Southern Miss -24 vs Rice

Rice ranks 120th or worse (out of 128) in Offensive and Defensive Yards Per Play

Let me guess... wedding to attend? Lol. I have one of those coming up myself in a few weeks. I hate people who schedule weddings in the fall during football season.

I'm actually pretty bummed I'll be missing the Clemson-Louisville game on Saturday night, but I was talked into going to see Kanye at the Q.

Bachelor party, the wedding isn't until October 22....

...The night OSU plays in Happy Valley and a potential Game 7 of the ALCS.

So, fuck me right?
