2016 College Football Season/Playoff Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I mean...Penn State would get smoked by Bama too...probably worse than Washington.

And if they want to blame someone, they should blame themselves for losing at least 1 more game than everyone who made the top 4 ranking.

I'm just not sold on Washington at all. I think they are in for a beatdown of Biblical proportions. I think they are by far the weakest CFP contender. But, it's the playoffs, and as #4 Ohio State showed a couple years ago with a third string quarterback, anything can happen.

If PSU is going to be mad at anyone for making it in over them, they should be mad at Washington. I really don't feel like they are one of the best four teams in the country and that they are going to get smoked by Alabama.
You really think PSU is a clearly better team than Washington?

Give James Franklin credit for this interview. Very gracious.
Yeah, what a good dude.

I wouldn't be surprised to see them hang tough.

Some crazy good athletes on both sides of the ball for Washington...

Not sure McSorely could get away with throwing a bunch of 50/50 balls vs Bama.

I do. Actually, I think Michigan and Penn State are both better than Washington. Penn State is also on fire right now; that has to count for something when making a statement like that.

Truth be told, I think Michigan is a top four team. I was a little bit surprised to see Penn State jump them in the rankings, but I do understand it was by virtue of that conference championship holding more weight than an embarrassing head-to-head loss.

But, it is what it is. I know some or all won't agree with me. @BimboColesHair has already made some good arguments against some of my other posts in this thread. And maybe he's right, maybe they do hang tough with that offense of theirs. I just don't think it's going to happen.

The perception of the Big Ten could take a hit after this bowl slate. It's even more brutal than usual. You're probably looking at something like:

Fiesta - Ohio State (CFP #3) vs. Clemson (CFP #2)
Rose - Penn State (Big Ten) vs. USC (Pac-12)
Orange - Michigan (Big Ten/SEC/Notre Dame) vs. Florida State (ACC)
Cotton - Wisconsin (highest ranked at large) vs. Western Michigan (highest ranked Group of 5 champion)
Outback - Nebraska vs. Florida
Holiday - Iowa vs. Stanford
Music City - Minnesota vs. Tennessee
Pinstripe - Northwestern vs. North Carolina
Foster Farms - Indiana vs. Washington State
Quick Lane - Maryland vs. Boston College

Michigan and Wisconsin would probably be favorites, and Ohio State opened up at -3, but the rest would be big dogs.

Western Michigan will beat Wisconsin.

Hope Francois takes out an insurance policy.

The FSU OL vs a healthy and rested Michigan DL is going to be really ugly.

I actually like the Big Ten's draws here. I'd bet the conference goes 3 for 4 with their top 4 teams. Also think Stanford and Florida are really overrated.

I think the Big 10 goes undefeated in Bowl play.
