Share with us why you think the Kings would give up the best big in basketball for Kevin Love? Or at least explain how you see this trade working out (players) for both teams?

My guess it would take Love, 2 future 1st round picks. And that at best would get the conversation going because then the Celts come back with young, cheap controllable players with future picks, the Sixers will offer Okafor, picks and players and we have not even talked about the Lakers will basically offer anyone and everyone on their team (and basically have) to get Cousins.

Also remeber the Kings are not the Celts, Spurs, Clips, Blazers, Raptors etc they believe they are one or two players from contention. If they are tradin HANDS down their best players, they are not doing for another big that is a downgrade. They are trading Cousins because they think it makes them "better". They are trading him to get talent to build with. Hence why they would not give him up for Love. They instead would look for young, cheap, controllable players that they can build the future with (specifically at the guard spot). Trading Cousins for Love does absolutely ZERO for the Kings and actually just puts them even further back in ever finding a way to build a contender.

I didn't say it will happen and I agree Cousins is the best big, with AD & KAT and I agree that they can get better offers from Celts & Sixers but from Lakers? Ingram looks great but hasn't played a game yet, Randle is so so and their PG didn't help his case with what he did last year + they barely control their next pick.
Now if Cousins wants to leave, I do believe it would be for Celts or an already contender in place...Cavs maybe! Why would Kings do that? Cause Love fits what they need (n sorry but reading you Love sounds like trash). They have WCS + Koufos + the huge greek C in their rotation thus defensive minded player...if you add a guy like Love, you got your stretch 4 that can rebound as well and who was, 2 years ago, a 26/14 1st option guy. People treat Love like he is trash but he ain't! Bosh proved that being the 3rd wheel ain't easy and asks for sacrifices.
Just to be clear, is it in Kings' best interests: No as Celts n Sixers (pls not Okafor if you trash Love as a solution) can offer something better. But would Kings be dumb to do that: No as well as Love is a fantastic player being the 3rd wheel here and would feature pretty well there n don't forget they need a good team or at least a nice project to move to their new arena.

J.R. Smith + Richard Jefferson + Norris Cole + David West/Luis Scola plus a fully healthy offseason for Kyrie and Love sounds pretty damn good to me.

I'd much rather wait for Chalmers in all honesty. Give me West over Scola but I think Cole is meh.

He can't shoot at all and is a completely average defender. All his defensive metrics state people really overate his defense. His DRPM is in the bottom 1/3 of the PG's in the league and his career DRTG is league average.

Chalmers isn't a world beater but he is a more competent defender, can shoot the 3 and is a better distributor. I think you roll the dice on him being healthy around December / Jan vs. taking Cole.

Cole. He can't launch 3s like Chalmers but Chalmers turns the ball over a lot and when he is off his shot, he is OFF. That being said he does attempt to steal a lot, which gets him in foul trouble EVERY game.

I actually got excited at the prospect of getting Chalmers.

David West will be a good addition as well.

Totally agree on Chalmers but as a back-up PG you can do way worse if he is injury free now. Plus would be fun to see Bron able to yell at him again! At last, the guy is so in another world that he isn't afraid of the big moments...would be a good pick-up to replace Delly. (would prefer to keep Delly though)

He knows how to play in the biggest moment too, he shined in a few moments in the finals. He wouldn't play in the finals during the last few minutes with the Cavs but he has the experience.

If Chalmers is healthy you got to sign him over Cole. Way more experienced, better 3pt shooter, longer & taller than him etc. He is a good defender that can stay in front of his man. It would be a good addition if he's healthy.

Would be great to get both those guys. I prefer Delly over Cole but they are close as players. West could play some small ball 5.

Charmers is coming off an Achilles so I would pass.
