Definitely not a baseball town...not a basketball town when LeBron isn't there too...always will be football way more than any other sport.

Doesn't mean people should look the other way when they are this talented though. Group is good...has been for 4 years now, and showing no signs of that changing anytime soon. You'd think people would come around a bit more, you know. Especially a city that embraces winning more than any other city IMO.

I hope this year brings back the baseball love in this town. TV ratings needs to turn into ballpark attendance next season.

Like this is where I was actually following along with Orange man. It isn't a good baseball town. It just isn't. I no longer believe we have the "best" fans in the world. Whatever, who cares.

But then he just went way over here and then way over there with it.

Yeah true to that, The people here should get more into the Indians I hope this will help. It should but knowing how fickle people are we still do not have that pull or guy like a LeBron on the team. Names pull fans I would hope Tito did but nope.

Well thank god its almost the weekend so I can sit in the dark uninterrupted listening to The Sounds of Silence

Do not get to down and when you come to just think how fun a ride it was and give next season a chance. I can almost assure you won't be let down as long as no major injuries kill our team again. I feel your pain though man take your time and go Cavs.

If I have the money I am seeing the team. That is what stops me I can only go once twice a year. That is why FUCK those fans who sold the tickets to Cubs fan.

I agree. Personally, I dislike the entire sport of baseball. But I try to invest into the team. I pay attention throughout the year. Go to a game every season. Whatever. Not a diehard like I am with the NBA. More on the casual side, for sure.

I, don't, however, understand someone (kilgore) spending the entire thread going "Woe is Me," talking about how depressed he is over the whole thing, how "heartbroken (a word he's used 20 times)" over the whole thing, and then flipping around and saying fans just really don't care about the Indians, they're just losers, just pay attention to the Cavs, yada yada yada.

If you don't care...then how can you also be heartbroken about the whole thing? It strikes me as a fake misery thing. Doesn't really care, but just enjoys being miserable, so lets feign interest.

I told you a few months back one of the things that needed to happen for that to come true was a deep playoff run. Well, here we are.

Most of the ownus is now on the fans themselves to go. The product is good, no more excuses.

It is fake misery. Being a negative prick to rile up the negative Cleveland fan thinking on the board is Kilgores schtick. Someone said he has confidence issues or something back during the Finals, but I think that's bullshit.

I just don't feel as miserable any more.

I don't see a reason to. This isn't like some 1997 Game 7 like event or LeBron bailing on us. Book ain't closed, it's literally just been opened this season.

We've been through worse, and this is kinda ridiculous considering no one picked this team to do anything.

No disrespect to Kinglore but it is a mindset some can not shake. Again Baseball is different and people handle it very different. I do not think he was being fake but way to emotional and ask people here I was very guilty of it myself. I think he is a new baseball fan and it makes sense. This is not a easy sport to figure out. It is very emotional and time consuming to follow even.

In reality most fan were bandwagon fans look at all the Dolan jokes. It is the start to a new fan and really is this WS does not bring more true Indians fans I do not know what will. I can not see how or why you would not give this team next year and if you do you will feel the emotion and make some stupid posts. It will happen this is long grind sport where every game is important and you never can predict a season. You have to look at windows contracts and stats to judge the new year.

This game has no salary cap and it will make small market teams windows so small and anytime a team gets to this point it will wreck your emotions if you care that much. Thankfully thanks to AZ and others here I saw the light and now know the sport much more and really it will mess your mind up when you realize what it takes to win it all in this sport. If you come into this with a Football or Basketball mental state be ready to be mentally broke by the end of it.

Baseball more than any other sport will test your patience and perseverence. It is not for the faint of heart.

Hey...I know where you got that from...

Great post too.

Warriors fans are having a field day. It really makes no sense on so many levels. Like how do you talk crap when you blew a 3-1 lead yourself, except much much worse? The Indians were the underdogs just for starters. Probably isn't the first time it has happened in baseball unlike the NBA, etc. etc. It's such drastically different situations.

It's easy to tell the difference when it seems like most of you guys are proud of your team. While Warriors fans are so salty and clearly ashamed of their team and still trying to make excuses to this day. Whatever makes them feel better I guess.

I grew as a fan and had good coaches. Thank you as well.

Good man. I hope more people embrace what you did this year. You really do have to take a more patient view with baseball, and patience isn't exactly something we do well with in 2016.

I had to talk quite a few people off a ledge a few times in June, July, and August who overreacted to poor stretches who thought the season was over...and look at us now...it's November and the Indians season just ended.

It's been said a few times already, but baseball is a grind full of peaks and valleys. You have to be able to be patient through the valleys in order to enjoy the peaks.

The problem is the Cavs made history doing it. In Baseball this has been done now 21 times. So yeah they look like the morons they are right now.

Yes indeed again thanks for the nice words. I used to always judge all sports the same I just never got the small market thing down. I was not as worried as people were freaking out when the Tigers were three games out and Salazar went down. Even when Cookie went down I did not give up. It led us to this night. Again looking at our window we are one solid bat and Catcher position away from going right back. That assuming Brantley is not one of those solid bats , hopefully he comes back strong..
