Okay the Indians never trotted out LeBron. They fought more than any no "super" team did. They lost two huge starting pitchers. Was faced to play guess work and got to a FUCKing game 7 and people want to give up? We did not give up on the Cavs when they lost with out all stars? Pitching is all the difference and if the starting pitching and bull pen can be as good as this year. We are fine... just enjoy the season we had for lucks sake.

Man, did experiencing a championship go to your head or what? So, because the Indians lost in extra innings in Game 7 of the World Series instead of winning it all, it becomes "fuck them, they're losers, stick with the Cavs because they're the only winners in this town"?

Good grief, man.

They had a good year that's for sure, but they need to seal the deal. We should demand more than participation trophies from them. Sure I am being harsh but after 69 years you need to raise the bar. If you aren't first you are last.

In Cleveland nothing is taken or stolen

You need to earn it

They didn't earn it they wanted to steal the trophy and you need to earn it

Trophies aren't given away or borrowed

But Basketball is a totally different animal. Look no further than the 2008 Indians to see why you have to seal the deal when you get that close. We can see how they are playing in June/July. But as the Oakland A's will tell you, baseball playoffs is a crap shoot. Could easily be another 20 years.

I think the fans should put the pressure on the team and Dolans. No second place parades please. Anything less than a championship is a failure. Sadly I felt the Cubs had that mentality and the Indians didn't.

Or, you could go back one fucking season and see the 2015 Kansas City Royals winning a title after coming up one game short in 2014. But that doesn't fit your "woe is Cleveland" narrative.

Honestly, how about you head on over to the Presidential Election thread and act as the Baghdad Bob for Hilary Clinton. That seems to be what you're best at.

Jesus Christ. Hop off the fucking bandwagon then

Looks like a bunch of guys I already had on ignore started stirring some shit up overnight.

151 days until opening day. I got my crying done last night. Now I'm ready for next season.

Im gonna need through the weekend probably. But Ill be back

The 10th was screaming for somebody that can get punch outs. I think everybody anticipated Shaw running into trouble and he did. I would have went to Salazar to face Zobrist because it looked clear that Shaw was fooling nobody. Letting Shaw give up ANOTHER run scoring hit was just being stupid.

Tito has way over-valued Shaw all year. I've joked repeatedly about Shaw and Tito's bromance going to cost us. Seeing it coming a mile away and watching Tito be too stubborn to do anything about it almost seems too scripted.

I'd argue that casual fans have under-valued Shaw all year. He deserved to be on the mound every time Tito called upon him. He had an awesome year. It just came down to him being in a tough situation coming out of the rain delay, and a couple ground balls finding holes. If Zobrist's grounder is a foot to the right, we turn a 5-4-3 DP, and head to the bottom of the inning still tied.

Yeah, with the whole Shaw thing I kept thinking back to what Smoltz discussed late in the broadcast about both managers and the level of trust with their bullpen guys. Tito clearly felt the best about Miller, Allen and Shaw and didn't really have much reason to have that same level of trust with anyone else. After the results those guys posted all season long, I'm not gonna knock him for that.

Im at peace with it. Just too much to over come and they ran out of gas. I will say if I never see a "HAHA THEY ARE CLEVELAND AGAIN!" or "Delete those 3- jokes" tweet, thatd make me happy.

If LeBron didn't pull this past one for us, you'd have to think Cleveland would be on suicide watch after last night. The whole 3-1 thing would be talked about a little more because we were so close again.
