2017-18 Cleveland Indians Offseason

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
JD Martinez is also out of the question sadly, but I am thinking our target could be Cain this offseason.

If AZ has and altered ego it is you and I agree with both of you. WTF IS LIFE?

I'm not gonna lie.... this is me trying to figure out how we could possibly afford Giancarlo Stanton's massive contract.

Conclusion: We can't

It depends on the Umps of they can Squeeze his contract into our strike zone. Then it will go to the MLB office where they Openly allow him on the Yanks because the MLB has used our team for years. That UMP is prof even this sport is not trusted. Basically this is the new reality TV like it or not.

Rant aside... Nah money making industries care nothing about us the consumer. In the end be a fan a suffer or live a more productive life with out sports.

Sad part is I know how you feel since I agreed with BMAN on something and it is like, WTF is the apocalypse coming soon!

I so want to see an OF in 19 with Allen, Cain and Zimmer. That is just a hell of an OF that no one is ever getting a ball by! I would love to see JD's bat in Cleveland, putting a lineup of Lindor, Ramirez, JD, EE scary as heck!

I like you keep an open mind and I hope I am wrong with this planned BS. How can i say this in a way people will understand.

Watching the WC I knew we were done because the Yanks had the magic aka "Magic" I knew we were done then. Predictable programing, I saw it in the that game. Never get to excited for anything. That said you do not.

Best of all if you really want to know about the MLB, Same fucking thing as the NBA, Crooked bookies take the wins, It is basically a slot machine at this point with the MLB. Unlike the NBA at least the MLB has some moral value left but not much. I mean we are rooting for players who make more than we will ever see. This is why we are angry... Fuck next year right now. They could win it but people are tired of paying for this shit. That is the problem.

It felt like the guys on the team let the moment get to them and they lost their games in the spotlight. They were pressing rather than doing what made them, them and it effected this series a lot.

Pro sports is a multi-billion dollar industry and things will not change until people stop watching and going to games. Outside of a complete boycott things will only get worse than they are now, but sports have always kind of been around since it helps get people away from their everyday troubles and helps people find something to support and get behind.

Very well said. I agree on all of what you said. It gives people hope to keep moving on as a casual, It also offers a job. We the Fans in the middle get lost because their minds are to shallow or weak to care. It gets people talking and creating idiotic ideas.

Again life moves on and really we are a sliver of millions of people let a lone Cavs fans. The most fun comes with AZ and Bimbo... they have a business look on the game and I enjoy it as well. Oh well, This is Cleveland and only LeBron was able to it possible.

Imagine Joe Smith is back, likely mutual interest from both sides. After reading that Shaw article on The Athletic, hard to see him back here- he will be missed.

In the event Santana leaves, my next call would be to Mitch Moreland. There was interest last year, there will likely be interest this year. Sounds like he may be having knee surgery. Gold Glove caliber glove, solid power, but struggles vs. LHP. Always the option to look at Brantley at 1B too.

Not sure what Kipnis's future is here. I'd like to see Yandy slide to 3B and Jose to 2B. Hard to look at Kipnis and see even an average outfielder.

I'd like Jackson back at a similar contract, he was great. Won't be upset if he kicks the tires elsewhere. Hopefully Guyer comes back healthy.

I doubt we really will get Jackson back on the roster for 1.5 mil after the season he had. His pay will increase a fair amount this offseason.

Santana may actually take one year from the Indians with the QO and stay here for one more season since majority of the nucleus of guys will be here.

Kip will be almost worthless this offseason and very difficult to trade for anything but garbage hence why I feel we will keep him one more season then in 19 when we lose our bullpen, we will end up trading him for a young arm or two to replace who we lost. He should have a bounce back year.

Screw that...

If Miami's new ownership really is trying to purge all the long term deals given out by the previous regime, I'm doing everything in my power to try to land Christian Yelich from that team.

The question is what would we have to give up for him?

Also is everyone afraid to read my off-season comment since it's so long? Lol

I don't have a subscription to the Athletic... What was said that gives you that indication?

YAS please. Not that it'll happen but, would be great.

The conversation starts with Tristan McKenzie. That to me is too much. If it was other pieces then we will talk (they can take our Beiber).
