2017-2018 Around the NBA

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I know that OKC blew out GS.

I know their point differential is really good.

But they still manage to lose a lot more that they should.

I'm not saying they suck, or don't deserve more time........BUT..

IDK about that team man.... I just dont know. Something;s off. 8-10 is weird. Warriors game notwithstanding.

They've lost an incredible amount of games after leading at the half. Like I'm pretty sure at least 5 of the 10 games they were leading at half.

They start out scorching and something happens that they can't sustain it.

Yeah.. I've watched a lot of it. Not sure exactly why their offense gets so bad...

It's not even quite just that theyre taking turns or whatever..

It just feels like Russ isn't the same Russ...and Melo is just completely and totally untrustworthy...and while George is good hes very inefficient when just thrown the ball to ISO.... IDK

Something is just "off". They need a 3&D guy BADLY instead of Roberson. But thats the most valuable asset in the league so its not exactly available.

Outside of their big 3 their offensive talent is just trash.

New Orleans...might be figuring it out?

If they could get just one above average shooting wings or guards from a floundering team.

Lou Williams is probably gonna be a hot commodity at the deadline. There's gonna be a bidding war for that guy if the Clippers don't turn it around. A bunch of teams should be chasing him. The Thunder, the Pelicans, the Spurs, the Celtics. Lotta teams could use some high powered offense off the bench like him.

But Wes Johnson is playing 20+ minutes a game in LA too and shooting 39% from 3. The Pelicans could use both guys, tbh.

OKC adds 2 'superstars'
Indiana gets 'robbed' in a trade

OKC 8-10
Indiana 11-8

Memphis in another tight one. They were down around 20 at half, stormed back to make it a game, but Nuggets have been balling in the fourth.

Marc Gasol's body language ain't good. While benched at the beginning of the fourth he was stomping several times in disgust when Denver scored a bucket. Looks to be mounting frustration + a bit of diva personality.

Should Grizz go on to lose, will be their 7th loss in a row.

Meanwhile, Chicago keeping it close in Oakland (I'm sure that's going to change :p). Our man, Casspi missed a few wide open layups.

I do not see any young player on this Bulls team - outside of maybe Markkanen - that looks like they could be a positive contributor on an elite team.

Maybe players like Portis, Felicio, or Zipser could be 9th/10th guys... I don't know. Dunn and Valentine look like busts.

Bulls are in a really bad spot as a franchise. And I do not see it getting better anytime soon.

Still a lot of time left in the season, but Warriors really need guys to step up and be consistent roleplayers outside of their big 4.

I do like Lavine. But he is a little older.

By the time he's "ready" they'll trade him, IMO. IF he comes back from the ACL well.

I think Dunn was a bust.

I think Markannen is a good player but needs to be the #3 guy at best..more likely #4 thru 6.

They have a lot of of work to do. But they will get a top 4 pick prob.

Nah, I'm perfectly fine with that not happening. ;)

Iggy taking some steps back due to conserving his energy or age isn't helping. Bell has looked alright in the little I've seen him play. Can't really say too much else, haven't been paying too close attention to them.

Valentine is anything but a bust. Guy is an amazing 3 shooter.

Dunn has showed a lot of improvement too. I actually like those youngsters.

My problem is, even if they get the top pick, this team really just lacks positive players.

At best they have five positive guys right now, and one of those is coming back from a brutal injury, another is a rookie, RoLo is a vet who will get traded, and the rest are only positive on the margins.

So, sure, add an elite rookie next year. I still just do not see them being anything closer than five years away from a decent team.

Agree..but still not sure its enough bad for them to trade Cousins right now.
