Objectively, scoring in the last minute of a close game (especially the last possession) is the hardest time to score in basketball. There are fewer transition opportunities, a lot of the possessions come after a time out against a set defense, players flat out try harder, and opposing coaches will put in defensive subs. It's not surprising to me that Kyrie has the highest efg% in those situations, since there are a lot of similarities between that and isolation scoring, both of which he dominates.

Watching how LeBron and Kobe close games over the years, I think the argument for a wider window is pretty clear. Winning a game in the last minute is great, but closing an opponent out well in advance is greater.

Like last night, the Pelicans were in the game the whole time - that is until it started to matter - and then you knew the door was getting slammed on them, and they weren't going to climb back.

But probably no "clutch minutes" in that game will be credited.
See I view that as a whole other thing. And really, that would be something cool to see as well.

A players' ability to put teams away earlier in the game, so they can sit at the end of the game while the bench does garbage time. The ability to bury teams.

Bury Stats - get on it Jon

Excellent points.

So what's the deal with this hamstring thing? Just being hyper-cautious or something real? I'm starting to get nervous.

Very likely hyper-cautious or we'd know something about it...

Cavs were getting shit for resting players before.. now they'll just make excuses..

These guys are 0% concerned with the regular season.

I'm starting to get nervous.
You're nervous about something? Get outta here!

Hey, if you can't be nervous about a minor hamstring injury to your indispensable second best player who has a surgically reconstructed kneecap, than what CAN you be nervous about?

Great article/videos illustrating Kyrie's passing improvements over the past month or so. This new Kyrie is flat out unstoppable. Also a necessity for when prime Kyrie takes more of the load when LeBron's athleticism eventually wanes. (Sorry if already shared).

Great article that makes you feel great about the Cavs future. Love the video near the start with Lebron defending Kyrie after the Bulls playoff game in 2015 -- another great example of leadership. "I had 7 turnovers..."

Clutch is so subjective. We are blessed as Cavs fans, to have two players who are both incredible end of game players. Lebron controls all aspects of the game and Irving does have a knack for making the "last shot". Don't worry Cavs fans, these two have got it covered.
