They wouldn't be giving up anything for Wade, they would sign him as a free agent once he clears waivers. It would be similar to the Rose signing...low risk / high reward.

An esteemed player like Wade would want the turmoil to be resolved and also have a good chance to beat Golden State. Taking substantially less money thinking you can beat Golden State in the finals is one thing. But just to play in the Finals, can't see that.

sorry..don't wade. Cavs must assume that LBJ is leaving after the year. If they do not, the franchise will be shit for 10 years. The best team to trade with IMO is Boston, they have the most assets and the depth of young players like Thomas, Crowder one more young player and a draft choice. Use shumpert or whoever to make salaries stand up

Not only does it give us something to start with when lbj leaves it also doesnt mean we still cant beat Boston to get to the finals next year. beating GS is another issue but we arent as constructed now anyway.....get as many good young players now as possible.

Placating LBJ with older vets like wade and melo will destroy this franchise for years. Lebron is gone....relationship with gilbert is just too bad. Gilbert gave him a opening to leave. Lakers are up and coming, have the location and the money next year. Probably better for LBJ to face GS in the WC finals then the NBA finals
That makes zero sense. If he gets bought out and comes to the Cavs it would be a 1 year thing where the Cavs lose absolutely NOTHING. He would sign as a 1 year free agent who takes up 1 roster spot. He would be an incredible 6th or 7th man! So you are saying you would rather have a Jose Calderon on the bench? Because basically that would be the situation.

Welp. Looks like this may indirectly be LeBron's fault and also his fault why we won't get a better deal for Kyrie...

Cavs could have got Bledsoe and Paul George for Kyrie if LeBron committed. Kyrie assumed LeBron was in on it, but the reality is it was a management deal. Kyrie was mad LeBron didn't vouch harder to keep Kyrie instead..

According to Broussard, but still...

He's not going to find a better team than that to play for unless he signs with Golden State next offseason...

TT/Frye
Love/Green
LeBron/JR
George/Korver
Bledsoe/Rose

Yea that would have been a heck of a team. Trade was there according to Broussard. LeBron didn't commit, Kyrie found out and now instead of George we have to hope for Jackson.

Broussard actually makes a lot of sense for once...I would guess LeBron wanted the deal but also didn't want to commit...which Kyrie found out about. Cavs obviously weren't willing to part with Kyrie on a potential one-year rental for PG.

If this is true, can you blame Kyrie for wanting out and wanting to dictate things on his own terms?

If things don't go smoothly in OKC, Cavs may have another shot at PG before the deadline. Actually, KL for PG makes a lot of sense for them if they fear he walks...reuniting Russ & Love. I would throw Cousins in there too, as a potential target in a Love swap. OKC & NO can't afford to lose those guys for nothing.

That team would have been insane. Stupid not to make the trade no matter what the reason.

The real reason: the trade was very likely not real.and this rumor is very likely untrue.

Nobody credible has even come close to mentioning this deal...yet we have full details of other potential trades.

So Phoenix was willing to trade Bledsoe + #4...

But now Phoenix is unwilling to trade Bledsoe+Josh Jackson...

Cavs didn't make the trade for Bledsoe+#4 because it was never offered.

The only legitimate trade Kyrie was likely involved in talks for was for Jimmy Butler. The Cavs ultimately said no...1. because we thought we were getting George for Love 2. Because we wanted to keep Kyrie 3. Because the Bulls wanted rebuilding pieces most likely.

Or option 4 Butler didn't wanna come here without Kyrie and we would be in the same situation but with a unhappy Butler vs unhappy Irving.

You might be right but this rumour has been around for quite a while now. I think it was at least discussed between the two teams. Once Jackson fell to 4 they were never going to do it though.

Are you saying if Tatum fell to 4 instead of Jackson then the Phoenix Suns would be more open to including Tatum in a Kyrie trade? If so, I doubt that.

Tatum at 4 was the only other realistic possibility with how almost every mock draft had Fultz and Ball as 1 and 2 respectively which is what happened. Jackson refused to workout for the Celtics who were at 3. So Jackson at 4 was not a surprise, but the expectation.

Seems like some in Phoenix are getting nervous that Jackson could end up being included:

Still think james will commit to cavs. He is superconcious of his legacy and understands every decision he makes will have a lasting effect on the way he is remembered.

Going to a 3rd team is not a good luck, looks like he is mentally beat by the gsw. Lebron is still the best players in the world and there are a tonne of stars that still want to and will play with him.Right now its hard due to the timing and mostly everyone being locked away, but it will all work out.

100% WILL NOT LEAVE

I hope LeBron is smarter than that and that rumor's false. Not committing for that isn't something someone concerned with their basketball legacy does.

And if that's why Kyrie's upset at LeBron.. again, I hope LeBron is smarter than that. If not, it would seem to be a disaster of his own [at least partially] making.
