No matter how much we hate Kyrie right now, saying IT is remotely close to Kyrie is asinine.

It's really not. Go to Basketball Ref and do a side by side comparison of their stats & advanced stats. It's not asinine to say they're close. I had this debate with someone last month and I believe Kyrie is better, but it's actually a very close comparison.

Funny ...went on the Celtics forum and the majority of them don't want this trade to go down...don't like Kyrie...strange if I was Boston and able to get Kyrie that would be great...but does this make Boston any better depending on who they lose?

I was suprised as i compared Kyrie and IT .. they are actually quite close in terms of beeing both Elite Scoring Guards who are both really bad on defense. The Advanced Metrics actually favor IT.
He is older, unhealthy and really small.. wich could lead to us getting quite alot more than just IT..

if its any combination of

IT + Crowder + Tatum + Zizic
IT + Crowder + Zizic + BKN and Lakers Pick
IT + Crowder + Zizic + Brown

I would actally consider it.. We get the combination of Helpfull now + young Players/ Picks we want.

And honestly we weaken our main Competitor in Boston. Kyrie is better than IT but we could take away some of their depth and youth.

This is the crazy stuff over in the Celts forum.... "IT/Crowder for Kyrie? Slight overpay that Ainge never does"...slight overpay ...is this guy nuts? wait till he finds out what the Cavs are asking for...

Sorry, but there are just some comparisons where stats don't tell the whole story. IT bloated his status by chucking up 20 shots a game on a team that really had no legitimate 2nd scorer. Kyrie is a top 3-5 PG for most everyone. IT is maybe a top 10 to half of them... not to mention what do we do when he wants a max? Getting IT has to mean he is a 1 year rental. So if we don't get Brown, this pick better be the Brooklyn pick.

So in other words, the Cavs have resolved to push LeBron out the door and ensure that I'll never watch them again.

Don't worry, I'll still post here.

What does this even mean? Can they not take on more than 13 million because of the luxury tax or does this some how hard cap them? I unfollowed Bobby Marks cause he never explains himself.

Believe it means the Celtics have to send out that much...

Points per shot in 2016-17:

Thomas (1.49)
Irving (1.27)

Clearly Thomas didn't just bloat his stats by taking more shots. He was actually more efficient.
