I can see Kyrie with more rings than LeBron in not too many years.

I can see Kyrie with more rings than LeBron in not too many years.

Eh... I think he's still waiting out this Warriors team for a few more years.

Speaking of this Warriors team, Steph and KD are absolutely going to finish with more rings than LeBron.

Pretty telling. I know the game is not over.

But Kyrie might end up with more wins against the Warriors this year than LeBron and us will against them for the entire season (including the finals).

Not convinced we can even win a game in a series against GS.

The only games that matter are in the finals. Who gives a shit if Kyrie wins a game or two in the regular season, and neither he or LeBron win the finals?

Eh. Houston is a legit threat to take out the Warriors. A fully healthy Boston team with an added star from trading the Laker/Kings pick could be a legit threat to the Warriors as soon as next year

Klay and Draymonds free agency is coming up. It's unrealistic they keep both without MASSIVE pay cuts. They committed a bunch of money to Iggy who looks like he is falling off a cliff

The flood waters are going to start building and put a lot of pressure on that dam. Coward and Steph also can get injured and ruin an entire year. And we could still get dumb lucky and win the lottery with the Nets pick

Saying they absolutely will is just jumping the gun. Especially for Coward. I'll go as far as to say I highly doubt he wins 4

The Celtics still need to get past the Cavs in the East. Don't think LeBron will let Kyrie beat him. If LeBron stays in the East. Kyrie not winning rings in the East. Plus Kyrie's contract has 1 more year on it. It will be interesting to see what happens, especially with the Warriors.

I don't like Boston but they're a team on the move. They play a better game than we do. I just don't see us getting past them this year.

Kyrie is a match up problem against GS.

He destroys them, while IT will get destroyed, badly, against Golden State.

OK, well let's go year by year. I think we can both agree that the Warriors are the easy favorites this year, and it would be surprising if they didn't win. That gets Steph to 3 and KD to 2 (LBJ at 3).

Next year, they run it back with everyone under contract. They're still the favorites. For the sake of my argument, I'll give them another one. Steph to 4 and KD to 3 (LBJ at 3).

19-20 is where it gets interesting. Maybe KD says, "we won 3 in a row, I'm going to pull a LeBron and go somewhere else." Based on his history and the fact he loves being just a guy, I'd say it's unlikely, but KD seems to be all over the place with his goals and he's on record as saying he didn't really enjoy his first title as much as he thought he would. I think Klay comes back. All signs point to Klay loving his role there, and he would be insane to go off somewhere else to make a couple million more. Take $25 mil a year instead of 30, and compete for rings your whole career. His dad has told him as much. If KD comes back, they're still the favorites.

By 20-21, I could see Steve retiring. He'd still be fairly young, but he's got the troublesome back, and he would have a handful of rings by this point. Dray is a free agent, but the only way I could see him leaving is if his body starts to betray him and GS severely lowballs him.

TL;DR - This group could end with 4 or 5 rings, and LeBron very likely won't ever win one again.

I agree. You aren't wrong.

But that doesn't answer my question of why regular season games mean jack shit.

Wahhhhh. I’m a poopy baby who needs my diaper changed. A regular season basketball result dictates my mood.

Boston needs more firepower to stay with Golden State in a series.

We have the firepower but we don't have the defense.

I agree they could end with 4 or 5 I just don't think it's the most likely event

I think Houston is a legit threat to beat them this year. This may be where we diverge a bit. As in, I think Houston could have as great as a 40% chance of beating this warriors team IF they get home court

Also I can't say LeBron isn't very likely to not win one before knowing his next decision. I don't think LeBron is going to go down so easily.

Right now the Warriors are in a great spot. But shit changes fast in this league. If Boston gets AD next year and Hayward is back to normal? To me that team is favorites. That's how quickly the tide can turn in this league.

I do also think the Warriors will try to be proactive and trade one of klay or green next year to get something more cost controlled long term for them. We will see.

It doesn't. I was just making a point how much we need Irving against GS, is all.

Now Kyrie is just a completely different scenario against GS.

Even though Kyrie's defense at times isn't good. His offense is a wrecking ball against GS.

I don't think IT stands a chance of coming close to the offensive production Kyrie provided us against GS.
