That was the first earned run he'd given up in his post-season career.

Had gone 14 appearances and 18+ innings.

I know. He just likes to make it nerve racking by usually letting a runner on and scaring us. He comes through more times than not. I guess I'm just envious of not having a guy like Chapman who you can tell puts fear in hitters hearts. They are scared of him. I don't think opposing hitter fear Allen.

I was as vicious about Francona's roster decisions as anyone on this board, but no roster or pitching rotation decision is the reason they lost this series.

Up 2-0 with Fangraphs No. 6, No. 22 and No. 2 WAR pitchers going... it's pretty much a choke to the max degree.

Nope.

Loved the rotation choices, and I don't give a shit about Gonzalez or Diaz at the end of the bench, because it should have never came down to one of them in the first place.

Every little bit of this is on the players, particularly our star players, and a bit of bad luck with Zimmer and Edwin.

Jose finally has a decent at bat

Seriously though that was Jose's best at-bat of the series drawing that walk. He was actually patient. Every other at bat he was chasing like he never been pitched to before.

I'm not mad either.

Just so much weirdness. Impossible to predict.

-Probable Cy Young winner gives up 9 runs in two starts.

-No. 1 defense makes 9 errors in three games.

-Best reliever in the league gives up a HR to a left-handed hitter.

-Guys that are going to finish 3rd and 4th in MVP combine to go 4-for-38.

Those all seem like pretty good reasons to be mad.

Saw this during the game. Thought it was interesting

Nope, they weren't even the Indians the last 2 games.

Now hopefully this convinces them to pony up some money for Santana, which I think they do, because I want this group, plus Zimmer, Mejia, and Diaz coming back for blood next year.

I'm really excited for this offseason because I do think we're gonna see SOME roster turnover this offseason.... as long as Dolan continues to be willing to spend on a contending roster.

Next year will be the last of Lindor on the cheap.

I think there's many routes they can go but they do have quite a bit flexibility if they really want to make a splash.

Fuck it, 2 tears in a bucket.

/signing out, I may be back one day, this team has broke my spirit to talk sports any further. Call me Bimbo, I'm out like Jose Ramirez in every AB

I'm actually pretty torn up right now that the dust has settled. I was convinced this was the team to do it.

My uncle is a diehard Indians fans. Been to probably 1000 games in his lifetime. He doesn't have a ton of time left on this planet, and he kept telling me during the streak that this was the team. He refused to die and was months past his prognosis. I believe that hope in this team kept him going.

I may have a breakdown when I see him this weekend. He will never get a chance to see a World Series championship and that hurts more than this loss.
