Jose’s “3-0 in the Bronx cupcake” tweet doesn’t really stand up well here does it?

Might even reflect a little bit on his mindset and why he started pressing, huh? That kind of shit happens when you underestimate your opponents and suddenly start getting humiliated on a big stage.
The moment was way too big for him, for sure. He thought just as much as the rest of us that this was going to be a cakewalk and it wasn’t.

You know, right when I saw that I was like WHY? That is on a fucking t-shirt next time we play them.

No clue. I’m still blown away by why athletes intentionally give opponents bulletin board material. Particularly in the social media age.

Just...why do that? These guys are already motivated. Why give them an extra piece of motivation?

To be honest after how hard it was for us to get game two then lose three... I knew we were not get past the Astros and the Yanks had that magic in the WC game. I was scared when they won 0-1 game and before. I think our team got a bit to cocky and Kluber imploding was our downfall. Really pisses me off and some of these guys need to check them selfs. However this is Baseball for you, thanks for the season though, On to the Cavs.

Yeah I think Santana is a very underrated piece of this team and we can’t let him walk away. Our offense would lose even more versatility and power, and we’re not in a position to lose that without creating some kind of hole.

One of the aspects that makes this team special is the amount of switch-hitters in the lineup...and they are really good switch-hitters as well, with another one on the way in Mejia too, and even Greg Allen who I am very high on.

It allows you to have stability in lineups that other teams don't really have the luxury of throughout the season, on top of staying away from less favorable handedness match-ups more often (we see the least R/R and L/L ABs in baseball because of that).

Not to mention, Santana has become a Gold Glove caliber 1B, on top of plus power and elite OBP skills...that's not exactly easy to replace, though quite a few here would love to see him gone.

Really sounding like Kluber was not right:

Asked if Kluber's back was hurting him, Terry says, "He's fighting a lot."

I would never have started him. Love Tito but he is way to loyal, I would have a pulled a Meritt type move here. Hey got away from what worked last year and it cost him.

Tough pill to swallow.....

Obviously the easiest decision to critique was Yandy Diaz being left off roster. I guess the decision to start Bauer instead of Tomlin/Clevinger could be thrown in there.

Such a great team. Disappointing Kluber couldn't find the zone consistently and we wasted an amazing performance by Cookie in game 3.

I'm already looking forward to 2018. This is a solid group.....just need to catch a few breaks and get hot at the right time.

Agree completely. On the other hand I see Kipnis and Brantley as luxury pieces on this team now, and I hope they trade Kip, and am indifferent as to whether they pick up Brantley’s option. We have talented young guys that deserve to be every day players that can’t as long as those two are around.

All the Kluber and 25 man roster talk is wasted breath.

Lindor and Jose choked. If they wouldn'thave choked, we'd be in the ALCS. Why even bother talking about anything else?

Nope.

Loved the rotation choices, and I don't give a shit about Gonzalez or Diaz at the end of the bench, because it should have never came down to one of them in the first place.

Every little bit of this is on the players, particularly our star players, and a bit of bad luck with Zimmer and Edwin.

Tito gets some blame to me. Here's my reasoning:

To me, Tito played not to lose as opposed to playing to win by having Kluber start Game 2 so he could get normal rest in a potential Game 5.

IMO, there was no need to start Bauer on short rest when we had 6 SP on the roster. I'm not advocating starting Tomlin and Bauer didn't allow an ER in the game, but IMO, Clev or Salazar could've gotten us through a few IP before going to the pen. With the off day following, it wouldn't have been a problem.

Game 3, Tito blows through his entire bench (minus E-Gon) at once and our worst hitter still hits in the inning.

Gio somehow gets 3 PA in a winner-take-all game? I mean hell, I'd have trusted Gomes over Gio in that situation.

Having your 2nd best SP only pitch once is disappointing.

It just seems like Tito over-thought the series.

However, ultimately, you're right, it came down to the players.

1-4 hitters: 9-79, 31 K

3-4 hitters: 3-39, 17 K

Hit .171 for the series. Minus the HR, we hit .145.

That's not on Tito.

We shall only call him Cupcake Ramirez from now on. Deal?

Just so damn frustrating because it will be difficult to be this good again. This was a great team and unlike in basketball in which the better team wins playoffs series a great majority of the time, baseball teams just have to be hot at the right time. The Indians deserved better than this.

Additionally, this Yankees team was better than its record and was a better team than Boston yet we got to play the Yankees and the Astros got Boston.

If Kluber was battling injuries we had no shot going forward really.

So if there's anything that'll make me take this slightly better it's that.
