2017 Browns Mock Draft Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Agreed on the O-Line. Drafting a center in the third or later on to push Erving would certainly make sense, but outside of that the talent from last year should progress. The freak injuries to the line last year made the position look more dire than it really is. Drango was a steal.

Look forward to seeing what Coleman can do when fully healthy

If the Browns come out of this draft with Garrett and Hooker, I'll do backflips. That would be amazing.

Well it depends if the trade partner agrees but via the chart we should be able to get picks 6-8 easily using 12 and 52 if a team is willing to make the deal with us. If Hooker is available when this happens, I'd say go for it. I would really be okay with that, since we still have pick 39 to get another Safety/CB/DLine guy.

Only if he's there at 12. I dont think I like trading up for a Safety, even as good as I believe Hooker will be. The Browns have too many holes. I'd take the Adams kid there too.

Some boards have Trubisky and Kizer going top 10, so if that ends up being the case and a few other teams draft for need, maybe we get lucky. Safety is a massive need on this team.

I wouldnt be opposed though for the trade up, we gotta get good players and if he is a top ten talent and second on our board, I'd say let's make the move. Now it would be nice to get one of them at 12, but I am doubting it. Either way it does make sense and I don't think anyone here would care at the end of the day since two major needs where taken care of!

Also we would be trading both picks we acquired the last previous years, so either way we did plus our team because of the moves we made. There is also a lot of fans that wanna see us go up and not down in the draft so this could fit the bill

I'll be extremely bummed if the Browns take an OLineman in the first three rounds. I'd also be fairly salty if we packaged 52 and 12 to move up for a Safety. I'm not a big fan of trading up as it tends to be a waste of resources, especially when the Browns are still multiple seasons away.

I won't be bummed at all if they choose to take a center in the 3rd round. I can understand your feelings on this. But, I want a legitimate center in place so I can stop watching Irving perform as the worst starting lineman for the Browns that I can remember. I would like to see our quarterbacks actually get through games without being annihilated. He is clearly our worst lineman. Improvement starts with his replacement.

I'm not trading up from 12 for any reason. There's plenty of strong talent in this draft that will be available there.

It's funny, on Saturday I was listening to a 49ers draft radio show. The hosts talked about how #2 is such a bad spot this year because there is no franchise changer at that spot and they would prefer anywhere from 8-12 from a value perspective. I agree, eventhough I prefer one of the top two free safety prospects, the Browns are going to get real talent falling to them with #12.

Garrett, Allen, Adams, Thomas, Barnett, Hooker, Foster, Cook, and Fournette are what I consider "elite" talent. That's 9 players. Anyone else we want to throw in there? CB's are all debatable based on preference and I didn't include any of them because there will be excellent prospects there in the 2nd round. Maybe even later. Would be a bad value pick to take one there IMO. Would need 3 so called "reaches" in order for the Browns to get an elite talent there. Even so...whatever is left may not be a good fit. Ex. I love Foster, but would it make sense with Kirskey and Collins here when Williams runs a lot of 4-2-5? Just throwing out stuff to consider.

If we resign Collins, I don't see us taking a LB at 12. I think we're looking at DL/Edge, Secondary or QB at #12.

It has to be secondary to me, not sure any QB will be worthy of even 12, that bad right now.

And Mike Williams might be too good to pass on at 12 even though WR is no longer a need.

If both Safeties are gone, Watson is our guy at QB and he is gone, and we dont want to spend a 1st on a RB, Mike Williams could be the pick there.

Just so hard to know at this point, also depends i guess if Pryor re-signs.

I keep seeing Lattimore up in the top 15 picks, yet Mike Williams had 6 catches for 96 yards against us. Was that on someone else, the coaches, the safety help (from our top 10 pick safety?).

Williams also torched Bama for 8/94 with 1 TD, and they supposedly have some stud corner.
Am I wrong to say that I wouldn't draft Lattimore at 12 if he were there? It just doesn't seem like he's top 12 worthy...

I think 12 is a spot we hone in on some offensive talent unless one of the two safeties are available.

Mike Williams if he's there is a no brainer I think, Dalvin Cook, Fournette, Corey Davis possibly, and then the QB's if they like one.

They were picking on Webb a lot in that game. For some reason we had him guarding Mike Williams more often than not.

I wouldn't say you're necessarily wrong, but the Clemson game has absolutely nothing to do with it.

I personally love Lattimore. Much more than Conley anyways. Think injuries could be a concern though.
