2017 Browns Off Season Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I'm very interested in seeing what Olugbode, Nacua, and Stribling can do.

Stribling and Nacua are both at huge positions of need and had wonderful 2016 seasons.

Oligbode is a guy who I'm shocked wasn't drafted. All 3, really.

Also, it appears Najee Murray is not in this parade. Oh well. I would've been interested in following him based on familiarity.

Murray is a tryout so he could be after minicamp

Chances Josh Gordon plays a regular season game this year?

I'll never be much of a cheerleader for the Browns until they earn any praise, but this is the best I've felt about the defense since the 1990s when Eric Turner was at safety. The one year the defense surprised me since the Browns came back was Shurmur's first year. They signed Fujita and Gocong to play linebacker, and it looked like they had exactly one good year in them. Mike Adams was an underappreciated safety, TJ Ward also emerged that year.

What this team will have that past Browns teams haven't will be pass rush. If the defensive line stays relatively healthy, this will be the best group since Big Daddy Carl Hariston still had tread on the tires.

It's actually insane to think about how long we haven't had any sort of pass rush for...

Jamir Miller, Orpheus Roye, Gerrard Warren, Dwyane Rudd, Courtney Brown is the last time I think it was respectable. :chuckle:

Wimbley had a couple decent years I guess.

That defense was still in the bottom third of he league in yards allowed. We remember them being better than they actually were.

Fucking Eric Turner.

He could hit.

Still have his jersey, one of my all time favorites. RIP

Last jersey I ever bought for the Browns, (also had a Don Rogers jersey, RIP)
