2017 Browns Off Season Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Man I have never been excited for a browns season in my life until this year.. finally have some players who seem like they can be stars for us
Really? Man I'm jealous. I always get sucked in by those assholes @SuperSurge and @natedagg into believing in 12-4

TBH the only season I was not at all excited was the Johnny year (after the destroyer was gone) Every other year I get sucked in

Howard Wilson (4th rounder) fractured his kneecap. How does this happen in minor drills?

Anyways Kyrie was out til Christmas when he broke his in 2015 Finals so I'd assume Wilson is done for the year.

The universe waits for the first optimistic posts of the summer to shit on the franchise, per usual.

Time for an obscure Barenaked Ladies reference: Now I'm lying in bed, just like Howard Wilson did...

Wilson:

“It was kind of a freak thing. I was just running around and my knee just kind of locked up on me. I didn’t think much of it but the training staff wanted to get the proper testing so I got the MRI."

At least it wasn't a LeCharles Bentley type of deal where we have a shit load of money tied into him.

I had Howard Wilson penciled in as starting outside cornerback opposite Haden. He has nice length and ball skills for the position. While he is lanky and has a thin frame, he likes tackling. I saw that he had a knee problem in 2015, but this seems like a separate issue unrelated. Jamar Taylor has some job security and Haden's health suddenly becomes paramount to the team turning things around. Starting to get the vibe our 2017 Browns are going to be like all those DeMarcus Ware Cowboys defenses with a formidable front 7 and amateur hour in the backfield.

Really? I know the CB position is thin (thinner now), but that seems like a stretch to pencil in an inexperienced fourth-rounder as a starter.

Personally, I didn't think Wilson was going play all that much this year. Seemed like a bit of a long-term project considering he came out early and basically missed all of his sophomore year with a torn ACL.
