What exactly do you want the guy to say? He was asked about positive feedback on social media, and he's consistently trashed by a large portion of our fan base despite being really good at his job.

I just dont think his responses sounded like someone who doesnt care. I'd probably have more sympathy if he just outright said yea, it bothers him.

No chance it doesn't bother him even a little; natural human nature to be liked.

Think he's wrong to think that only "a few" support him and the "vast majority" hate him. Also, I think some of his answers were a bit childish too. It's a hard piece to come out looking great in though after being asked like 10 times, "why do you think the fans hate you?"

I watched Andrew Miller lose his 2nd game in 2 days by giving up 4 ER in 0.2 IP.

The fact that half of you think blowups are exclusively something that only Shaw goes through is fucking ridiculous.

Either that, or you just stay attached to his blowups for a lot longer than other guys...

Also, just have to say...seems like the majority of you guys haven't watched another teams bullpen the last few years...no wonder you all don't appreciate what we currently have...

I did what Shaw suggested and searched through Twitter to see what people said about him. Really brutal. Couple points about that:

1) Public figures REALLY shouldn't do that. Terrible idea. Any time I've ever looked at twitter, it's people saying negative shit about each other.

2) A guy made a comment that some of the hate for Shaw comes from the appearance of his face. I hate to say it, but this may be partially true. His appearance is a little bit of a hate magnet. He is a little bit dopey looking, doughy and he does the high sock thing as a relief pitcher, which is probably not appropriate.

Anyways...after reading through the horrible shit people say about him and the fact that he comes off as a good dude, I'm really hoping you'll stop pushing the Shaw issue so I can feel good about rooting for him. The extra pressure from you makes me uncomfortable rooting for him.
