2017 Cleveland Indians

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Played CF in college. Just like riding a bike.... I hope.

True, for some reason thought it was corner OF.

Still, that was what 9 years ago? Couple that with his recurring hamstring concerns and this just seems like a bad idea

Kipnis was drafted as an OF and he didn't have bad numbers at low A as an OF (played CF and LF there. I thought they said RF was his position when drafted) I mean when healthy he can swipe 20+ bags a season so I don't think it will be bad to have him in the OF, if anything that may be better long term since that would make room at 3B for Diaz/Urshela long term and move Ramirez back to second base which Lindor-Ramirez combo is a superior defense.

Though coming off a hamstring injury, is now a good idea to switch him to CF?

Sure seems like it. Guy has been hurt forever and team is rolling. If he comes back what are they gonna do just throw him right in there for the postseason?

Well it is a 6 week injury for him so 6 weeks is still like 10ish days away so if he isn't hitting/running around the 20th then he is out for the season

Anybody would want to throw Michael Brantley's bat in a lineup. I figured Tribe was saving him until the last few series where he can play and gather timing like he would on a minor league assignment.

I guess. I'm not sure I'd just throw him in after being out for months.

What did Babe Schwarber do to us after sitting since April? Killed us. It's baseball man, these guys are the best professionals. I would never question a guy forgetting how to play. Brantley waited his whole life for this moment. Brantley is better than the last bullpen arm. Brantley could get hot or not, but he'll put up great at bats.

Are we gonna ever find out? Hopefully...

Getting anywhere near the 90s Braves which had 3 Hall of Fame starting pitchers really shows how good this staff is.
