2017 Draft Prospects Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Native Texan would rather play for one of the most prestigious franchises in American sports history coming off 13-3 season than one of the worst run franchises in sports. Color me shocked.

Yeah, I'd rather he wouldn't have made that video but it does not change my mind or bother me.

To be fair, he said that Cleveland is his second favorite team after making that joking plea.

In all honesty, I wish I could be traded to the Cowboys as a sports fan if my heart would let me.

His judgement is at question here. That's not something that should just be swept over.

A colorful, creative dude who doesn't give the exact same cookie cutter interviews/appearances is "judgement" issue? I don't even see it as bad judgment. The elite in all fields get recruited. Yes, they still have to exhibit a certain willingness for future cooperation with their employer but they don't have to interview in the same way a 4th rounder does or a regular Joe workforce guy does.

If the Browns want to make the mistake of passing on him because of that video, he'll do just fine with #2 or #3 pick money.

Won't be playing for the Cowboys or Texans though. Neither have the draft postioning(present and assumed future) to make a viable trade into the top3 without gutting a lot of current on the roster talent.

More from Garrett:

For what it's worth, Garrett told the Houston Chronicle the Browns are his second favorite team, after his hometown Cowboys.

"They have the No. 1 pick," he said Friday of the Browns. "I want to be known as the best."

According to Houston TV Station FOX 26, Garrett also said Thursday he would love to play for the Browns, who set a franchise record for losses last season and finished 1-15.

"Definitely," Garrett said in a video by FOX 26. "People might say they're this, they're that or I made a comment about cold weather and they kind of put it toward Cleveland. It doesn't matter to me. I'll play wherever they put me, and it's about your mindset. If you go out there with a mindset that you're going to turn things around, you can make that contagious and people start to believe in it, you can turn into a winning program wherever you go."

I've had to hear how much Adrian Peterson wants to play for the Cowboys for the last 6-7 years...comes with the territory of having a player from the area.

Now it is pretty obnoxious to hear that from a player under contract. I'll be pissed if Garrett says anytime after he's officially a Brown.

Ugly look.

The whole thing is just bizarre. It actually made me uncomfortable watching a man do something like that. He's a weird kid...could have been a failed attempt at humor.

Oh well, won't matter when he's dominating for us next season.

Half our fanbase is gonna hate this guy before he steps on the field. Can't wait for the Rizzo and Grossi hot takes. Fuck me sideways.
