2017 Draft Prospects Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
He's a projected number 1 overall pick.

Make no mistake...that's a slam on the Browns. He doesn't want to play here.

So should Philly feel insulted he rather stay home in Dallas than go to the draft there?

These people, yes, even Zeke, are just so dumb for asking teams to draft them. Just makes you look bad for the teams above that team. Is it gonna change him from trying his ass off? No. But still annoying.

I didn't watch the video but I'm assuming since Amherst said how he's staring straight in and "nearly praying" he actually came out and said it.

If you have a childhood team that would be a dream to play for. Of course you can mention that in an interview or something (Trubisky and Cleveland, for example) But not with your hands like that one on one with a camera

Be happy you can make the pros, even be the #1 pick.

It's not a big deal, but the guy is clearly not very savvy.

He's 21...I was dropping 20 bucks on a case every other day at 21 and not calling bitches back who I was destined to see again around campus...I wasn't savvy either.

While I agree it's pretty normal for a 21 year old, you weren't the #1 pick in the NFL draft. :chuckle:

Amherst spoke accurately. Garrett literally says "throw some picks and Romo (mentions him by name!!) at Cleveland." :chuckle: It's pretty ridiculous.

Interested to learn what the Browns make of this considering their whole draft philosophy has been "high caliber" personalities/inherently virtuous kind of guys.

I mean, I get the whole "wanting to play for my home team" kind of thing, but when you have that kind of elitist talent and are a sure-fire #1 pick, you're slighting the team that can pick you.

It'd be different if he was an early 2nd rounder - that's up for grabs by any team. But he knows he's going to Cleveland unless he does/says something.

That's what worries me most.

He's already working for the Browns. This is all part of the plan. Now Jerry will call us up to inquire about a trade, and we'll say no to a first rounder but negotiate a trade for Romo as a bridge QB for a few years until Mahomes is ready.

Romo is a 37 year over paid qb with a huge injury history, he almost has a negative value at this point.

Their first two picks are pick 28 and 60.

Dallas just doesnt have the juice to get the first pick from us and they know it.

Myles is a kid that just doesnt realize how this works. Nothing to see here, move on.

umm... you can tell from the video it really wasn't something that merited this much attention. He was like hey, Dallas, acquire me since I wanna stay in Texas (he said it with humor, so it was more of the hey Dallas acquire me, if ya don't oh well! I will be fine whoever takes me)

Did you quote the wrong person? Like I said...it's ridiculous.

Dallas doesnt have what it takes to pull it off. The have the 28th and 60th pick, are a young good team so their future picks have lower value and they are not giving up any of their studs to move up to 1.

It was a meaningless plea but a naive but talented young kid.

Well technically Dallas does have enough to pull it off, who from their OLine do we want to acquire? :chuckle: I mean If we get Romo, Zack Martin and Travis Fredrick, and their 1st round pick, id be okay with the move! lol So it is not like they couldnt lol

Very valid point, but they arent going to trade the heart of their team to move up to 1

Then Myles Garrett will have to accept being a Brown and I know he has by now lol I am sure he did that as more of a joke anyways, since he was having trouble keeping a straight face while saying what he did
